Learn how you can participate in the nation’s largest affordable housing PV rebate program.

The Solar on Multifamily Affordable Housing (SOMAH) program provides incentives that cover up to 100% of costs for installing photovoltaic systems on more than 3,500 qualifying properties throughout California.

Becoming an eligible SOMAH contractor is easy and free.

Join the SOMAH contractor network

Qualified contractors can bring customers into SOMAH or bid on projects that have reserved SOMAH funding. Find potential projects in your area on our online eligible properties map or use our web portal to bid on approved projects seeking contractor services.

All projects must be located in PG&E, SDG&E, SCE, Liberty Utilities or PacifiCorp service areas. Other qualifications, requirements and restrictions are available online.

Contractor benefits include Technical assistance, marketing resources and educational support Tools to help with lead generation Access to an online job portal for hiring a local, skilled workforce

Becoming an eligible SOMAH contractorTo qualify, you must have an active A, B, C-10 or C-46 license from the California Contractors State License Board and complete an online contractor eligibility workshop.
