SB 1067 (Beall)School Site Selection Process
Extends the CA Department of Education (CDE) school site selection review process to all schools, including charter schools, by request of the school board or charter school board.
Requires CDE to evaluate and particularly advise the school district on the proximity of a new school site to residential neighborhoods, safe walking and bicycling access for students to the site, and opportunity for shared use of school and public facilities.
Requires new school sites to have two points of safe entry/exit to the school grounds.

integrated sustainable communities investment
program administered by the SGC including active
