Field Location: 9025 Shepard Road SE

An EMT will be assigned to each match for duration of the festival. The EMT will be

attired in red and will identify themselves to each team before the start of the match.

Emergency Procedure:

In event of an emergency, flag the assigned EMT to the site of the incident. If no EMT is

available, contact the 1st Alternate via cell phone.

The Charge Person will assess the injured player and determine the best course of action.

If an ambulance is required:

The Charge Person will place a call to 911 or designate an individual to place the call.

The Charge Person will designate an individual (Medical Coordinator or Facility

Manager) to meet the ambulance at the entrance gate and direct them to the required

location.

To Access Fields 1 & 2 – The Ambulance will use the entrance directly north of the

east bleachers

To Access Fields 3, 4 & 5 - The Ambulance will use the entrances accessible from

the southern parking lots

The Medical Tent is located between Fields 1 & 2 on the south side of the west bleachers.

There will be an on-site physician for all games and most practice sessions at the CRU

fields. Dr. Bill Ruzycki will be available for emergency assessment and treatment of some

injuries such as lacerations in conjunction with EMT assessment and stabilization. Further

referrals may be made to specialists at the Rockyview Hospital, Peter Lougheed Hospital,

or Foothills Hospital after assessment.

Urgent Care Services

On a walk-in basis, nurses and physicians

address urgent or complex health concerns for

clients and have access to x-ray and lab

testing.

The priority is to see those patients with urgent

problems such as serious infections, severe

dehydration, asthma attacks, broken bones,

and other serious injuries. Patients are seen in

order of medical priority.

Patients with more serious injuries and life-

threatening health conditions will be transported to an Acute Care facility.

Patients who have non-urgent or ongoing problems and patients who need routine follow-

up appointments may be referred to see their regular family physician. Family physicians

can better serve the needs of clients who require prescription refills, routine or annual

check-ups, or examinations for drivers license or employment applications.

nature.
