Here's the latest from Sacramento: 

The legislature reconvenes for the secondhalf of the 2 year session in the first week ofJanuary.  New bills will be introduced andthere are dozens of others that were held

over from 2015 that need to be heard in policy or fiscal committees.

One bill, AB 1335, is one of those "2 year" bills.  It levies a $75 "fee" onrecorded documents.  CAI­CLAC registered its opposition to this bill sinceassociations record many documents every year.  The bill failed to get therequisite number of votes to pass from the Assembly and will likely notmove ahead unless it is amended to remove the opposition from the
