Caff e Mela is Wenatchee’s very own Artisan Coff ee Roasting Company. Opened in 2006 as a cutting edge coff eehouse and community gathering space, Caff e Mela quickly earned a reputation for the best coff ee in town. The spacious shop became popular as a meeting place for friends, businesses, and as an intimate live music venue.

In 2008 Caff e Mela began roasting coff ee in an eff ort to provide an even better product to it’s customers, and as a way to grow the business through wholesaling it’s award-winning roasts to area restaurants and espresso shops. As of this writing, the company sells the Caff e Mela Brand to over 20 local and regional businesses including Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort, Mission Ridge, Visconti’s, and most recently, a distribution partnership with Weinstein Beverage.

The coff ee roasting company’s downtown Wenatchee store has also become known as the premier live music venue in Central Washington. The spot regularly hosts top local bands and national touring acts, and partners with the City of Wenatchee to present the annual Caff e Mela Summer Concert Series at Centennial Park. Every Tuesday, Caff e Mela hosts the area’s best jazz musicians and features local wine-tasting and a light dinner menu for an unforgettable night of outstanding music, wine, and fun.

After seven years in business, Caff e Mela is hitting it’s stride by focusing on roasting and selling the absolute best coff ee available, and creating a coff eehouse and live music experience that is second to none. Caff e Mela is proud to give regular customers and visitors alike a taste of the Wenatchee Valley that will make them fall in love with one of the most beautiful places on the planet, the place we call home!

Steamed milk and allow to settle. Steamed milk will settle to the bottom. Frothed milk will rise to the top.Use fresh ground French Roast to brew coff eePOUR hazelnut syrup and coff ee into cappuccino cup. ADD steamed milk. Spoon on foamed milk to brim of cup. Garnish with chocolate curls or sprinkle with cocoa powder.

Costa Rica Santa Elena EstateDescriptionSanta Elena Estate is nestled in the hills of the famous Tarrazu region of Costa Rica. The farm, led by grower Luz Marina Trujillo, is focused on developing fully sustainable practices. By composting pulp from processing, and thoroughly cleaning water used for fermentation before returning it to the river, limiting the use of chemicals, that goal is becoming a reality.

The farm is also active in contributing to local school, church, and library organizations the long haul.

Honduras Las CapucasDescriptionSituated just above the town of Corquin in the department of Copan, Honduras, the community of Las Capucas is home to one of the most progressive coffee cooperatives in the country: COCAFCAL.

Manager Omar Rodriguez and Peace Corps volunteer Rebecca Stygar have led the charge to improve the quality and brand recognition of Las Capucas coffee, and the improvements have garnered the attention and praise of some of the most discerning buyers of specialty coffee. COCAFCAL has also obtained Fair Trade, Organic and Rainforest Alliance certification in the past few years, adding value to the already outstanding quality of the coffee they produce.
