Dog Grooming Skills (Level 1) - IntroductionThis five day course is designed for those interested in becoming dog groomers. No dog grooming experience is needed, although animal handling skills and experience are useful. Practical hydrobathing, grooming and basic pet care constitute a large part of this course. Information on how to run a successful business and personal skills required to become a successful dog groomer are included with a reference book on dog grooming techniques. All equipment and dogs are provided. Fee includes the reference text & morning tea.

This one day course is an intensive version of the Level 3 Professional Dog Grooming short course. Successful completion provides professional recognition for experienced dog groomers. Applicants must be able to perform breed specific clips to industry standards on time in a real life salon environment. Our experienced grooming teacher will assess your practical ability to work effectively in the grooming industry through direct observation and questioning. Applicants are required to groom & hydrobath two dogs of different breeds to professional standards in 5 hours.

Reptile Keeping - IntroductionIf you have an interest in reptile keeping or have a reptile as a pet, this course will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge necessary to cater for a reptilian pet. This course covers a broad range of reptiles commonly kept as pets in Victoria.
