What is new in Autodesk Revit 2020

The New version of Revit consists of more than 25 new features and enhancements that could link, produce and op�mize its users to create more accurate detailed documenta�on. It could more closely characterize the design extending to detailing and construc�on.

Features of Autodesk Revit 2020

The new competences of Revit 2020 aims at assis�ng its users in linking, genera�ng, and boos�ng their architectural crea�vi�es. Other addi�onal features are detailed below:

The new Autodesk Revit allows its users to insert a PDF Document that is placed as a 2D object that could be modified like any other image. Also, if the PDF has a vector Data then it could be snapped to the PDF for quick tracing or drawing the line work or walls of the building.

This feature allows the users to easily navigate and contact different cloud models. So whenever Revit starts, the new screen emerges simplifying the access to various cloud models, which in turn boosts the workflow efficiency, enabling the users who don’t have access to Revit to watch and refer the respec�ve model in BIM360

The 2020 version of Revit allows its users to curate Ellip�cal and curtain walls through the ellipse tool present in the draw panel for walls.

It also includes a set of new fundamental rebar tools, including rebar copy and move logic, mul�-rebar explana�on to actual faces,

and rebar in model-in-place stairs.

The addi�onal path to travel tool enables the user to determine the shortest distance between two points in ground planning.

The new Autodesk Revit 2020 is a perfect assimila�on of a new and improved version of the OR filter func�onality, enabling the users to choose a specific OR Filter type and accordingly select a par�cular parameter.

While other na�ons across the world are climbing to a�ain a seamless EV environment, Elon Musk has ensured a perfect deal of effec�veness in the field of an electric vehicle with his famous brand Tesla Motors. Consequently, Tesla cars at present travel beyond the usual on a single charge as compared to any other design of EV in the market.

Model S, as well as Model X vehicles, are able to travel nearly 600 km or 525 km on a single charge with a 100 kWh pack of battery.

Model S and Model X are now able to run with 200 kW on V3 Superchargers as well as 145 kW with V2 Superchargers. Collec�vely, these developments allow users to recharge the ba�eries faster by 50 percent as compared to the earlier models.

WHY IS TESLA UNIQUE?

The choice of Tesla for the cylindrical cells is what differen�ates the brand’s designs with other manufacturers.

The use of a liquid-cool thermal management system is another key

feature used to make sure that the cells are opera�ng in their efficiency as well as op�mal ways. It further ensures ba�ery life and performance.

The lithium-ion ba�eries use NMC or lithium nickel, manganese, cobalt, and oxide for ensuring posi�ve electrode or cathode of the ba�ery along with the ar�ficial graphite for the ba�ery’s nega�ve electrode or anode.

Exis�ng Tesla cars are capable of achieving around 8 lakh kms from their ba�eries before they confront with any major issues.

As per the interna�onal market research organiza�on, i.e., IHS Markit (China), 20 percent of the en�re vehicles’ sales are to secure some type of electrifica�on �ll the year 2025. On the other hand, France, as well as the UK, has made a proposi�on to finish the sale of the cars producing greenhouse gases by the year 2040. The key cost element of an Electric Vehicle is the ba�ery pack. Tesla has kept its ba�ery technology as a carefully guarded top-secret, which has surmounted the technology to a great level.

he launch of electric cars and lithium-ion batteries have transformed the world of convenience and technology. Tesla is not only working for building convenient technology, but also trying to save the environment by designing hybrid cars that are faster than the usual. Tesla is targeting to craft a lithium-ion battery that is capable of running a car or an electric truck for around 16 lakh kms. Engineers of Tesla are infatuated with designing the world's most competent and resourceful electric vehicles for more than a decade.

EV Charging Systems and Solar Panels: EV vehicles can be charged by the charge sta�ons powerd by solar panels. There are a lot of advantages of connec�ng an EV charging system with the solar system, including gas savings, reduc�on of harmful CO2 emissions, and charging the EV for less.

Installa�on of a solar panel system for charging electric cars requires to combine the set up with the solar inverters. In order to operate the devices, the energy generated by the solar panels has to be converted from DC (direct current) to AC (alterna�ng current).

Similarly fuelling of the EV with solar power also follow the same conversion pa�ern, wherein the PV cells and silicon semiconductors in the cells absorb it and then transform it into electric energy by the PV

effect. This DC power stored in the ba�ery is then transferred to the inverter, which changes it into AC power. This AC power can now be transferred to homes (V2H) to operate the electrical home appliances as well

Cost of installing a Solar Panel:

There are two types of Solar panel systems whose value is directly correlated to its size and kind. Both of which are men�oned below along with their respec�ve prices:

A.) Off-Grid panel System: A 1 kW off-grid system genera�ng 4-5 units of electric power costs between Rs. 1 lakh to 1.25 lakh.

B.) Grid-Connected Panel System: A Grid-connected panel System ranges between Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 90,000.

CHARGING EV FROMSOLAR PANELS -BRIGDING THE GAP!Solar Energy is one of the inexhaustible sources of energy that comes with a plethora of benefits. Since India is blessed with a copious amount of sunlight, that could be converted into electrical power by using the latest solar power conversion techniques like using different Solar power panels that enthrall solar energy and transform it into electricity by the photovoltaic (PV) effect. Such energy is also used in electric vehicles. The photovoltaic cells available in the solar panels alters the energy of the sun which is directly used by the electric vehicle.

Advanced surfacing design course uses CATIA Advanced Surface Design module (GSD workbench), and helps the users produce quality curves or improve imported wireframe.

This course also educates the users about how to generate quality surfaces from the wireframe geometry and effortlessly associate the surfaces with developing a topology. This so�ware also teaches how to examine the surface quality and resolve the imperfec�ons, in addi�on to supervising surfaces in a mul�-model environment.
