Transcript of CAD Portfolio
The following two projects were developed for my TMD 346 class.
The class focused on advancing skills in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe
Illustrator. Each project started with a mood board showing the inspiration
for the collections, followed by the associated prints used in the collection
and then finally the collections on croquis with variations of the designs.
I included my final board, which combined my mood board, prints,
design variations and dressed croquis.
While creating these collections I learned the following skills:
• Creating mood boards by manipulating images
• Creating prints using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
• Creating croquis using Adobe Illustrator
• Creating flats using Adobe Illustrator
The first collection was inspired by Disney villains and the Psychobilly music genre.
The prints created for this collection used standard patterns like argyle,
stripes and leopard print with a color story inspired by colors used in
Psychobilly culture, like lime green, purple, blue and red.
This first collection has a dark feeling to it, which is why I made my second collection more light and airy.
The second collection was inspired by the Rococo period and activities
that women would participate in, in this period. The second collection is
more feminine and has pieces that are less tailored. I intended the severe
difference between the two collections to show that I am able to create
collections that have a masculine and feminine feeling.
