Single Eye (SE) – Ideal for pulling medium to heavy loads, the pull can only be achieved from the cable end. Fleeting Eye (FE) – Similar to the SE type but for use when offset positioning is required and the cable can pass completely through the cable grip. Double Eye (DE) – Suitable for pulling medium to heavy loads, the main advantage to the SE Type is that the cable can be passed through the grip thus enabling the pull to be made at various stages down the cable. Lace Up (LU) – Similar to the DE type but the grip is positioned on the cable and then stitched together. This is particularly useful when the pull is from someway down the cable or when there is a connector on the cable end. Open Ended (OE) – Ideal for joining 2 cables and mainly used when old cable is being replaced with new (see our website for specifications). Non-Conductive (NC) – Ideal for use in water, fibre optic applications, offshore or for a multitude of uses in the electrical industry; dramatically improved weight to break ratio and made of a high-strength, non-conductive aramid fibre (see our website for specifications). These cable pulling grips are ideal for safely controlling the installation of electrical cables. The cable pulling grips available range from single eye cable grips to non-conductive cable grips. The cable pulling grips are re-usable (subject to inspection.) The range of cable pulling grips can also be used to pull any cylindrical object as long as its within the cable pulling grips size and load capacity. The full range of cable pulling grips available from Reid Brothers UK are: Single Eye Cable Pulling Grip (SE). The single eye cable pulling grip is ideal for pulling medium to heavy loads. The pull can only be achieved from the cable end. Fleeting Eye Cable Pulling Grip (FE). The fleeting eye cable pulling grip is similar to the above SE cable grip but is best suited to use when offset positioning is required and the cable can be completely passed through the cable pulling grip. Double Eye Cable Pulling Grip (DE). The double eye cable grip is ideal for use on medium to heavy loads, with the main advantage of the DE grip is the cable can be passed through the cable pulling grip. This allows pull to be made at various points along the cable. Lace-Up Cable Pulling Grip (LU). The lace up cable pulling grip is similar to the above DE type grip. The main difference between the two being the LU grip is positioned on the cable then stitched together. This grip is useful when the pull is someway down the cable or if there is a connector on the cable end. Open Ended Cable Pulling Grip (OE).The open ended cable pulling grip is ideal for joining two cables. This is mainly used when old cable is being replaced with new cable. Non-Conductive Cable Pulling Grip (NC). The non conductive cable pulling grip does exactly what it is described as: a non conductive cable grip. This makes it ideal for use in water, fibre optic applications and off shore as well as many other applications in the electric industry. The NC cable gripper has an improved weight to break ratio and is made form high tensile non-conductive aramid fibre.
