Adjustable Speed V-belt Pulleys (Z, SPZ, A, SPA, B, SPB V-BeLTS)

Technical Data Sheet: 8000 SERIES Both 1 & 2 groove adjustable sheaves permit variations of as much as 30% in speed.

Adjustable speed V-belt pulleys are used primarily in the Air Handling industry. Optimal fan working speed is easily obtained by simply adjusting the one pulley.

V-Belt Pulley Adjustment

Modify the pitch diameter by rotating the adjustable flange on the threaded hub of the V-Belt Pulley. One complete turn of one of the flanges equals a diameter variation. If required for more precision, the two flat surfaces found on the threaded hub allow for half turn adjustments. Once the required diameter is obtained, tighten the adjusting screw(s) on one of the two flat surfaces.

To obtain the same pitch diameter in both grooves of the D8000 series, tighten both movable flanges against the central flange then rotate both flanges the same number of turns.
