’’‘‘I thought the Noh was

incredibly interesting, especially since it’s such an old form of art that has survived for so long. I really thought the rigidness was cool, especially how such a small change in movements could convey an entirely different story. LakeMarkham’12

’’‘‘. . . despite the lack of

experience, I realized that it was not just about experience or how good you were at acting but rather about working collaboratively, getting to know each other and most importantly, being together. It was an enriching experience as we got to learn about the Japanese culture along the way. Anne-ClaireRamser’11

UponreceivingthecranesAmeliasentthefollowingmessage:

How special it was to receive so many beautifully made paper cranes, all the way from Japan! Extraordinary!!

It was such a complete surprise to me, you both along with Jude and my parents are very sneaky!!

The thought that you all are inspired by my journey, and have spent the time on getting the school involved in supporting me, is so so special in my eyes and is certainly helping me immensely in fighting this horrible disease.

I would like to send a huge, massive shout out to all of CA students and teachers who got involved whether they sent a message in my book or made a crane. You are all wonderful, and knowing that I am getting such wonderful support all the way from Japan, and certainly after so many years after leaving. I often have very fond memories of my time in Japan. Thank you all again for all your support.
