THE NEXT GENERATION C700

PROVEN TECHNOLOGYThe C700 incorporates the latest in materials science, with proven fluid design and modeling technologies. The C700’s design incorporates features that are leading edge in accurate water measurement improving reliability and linearity. Optimized diameter to height ratio provides the extremely low starting flow. While, increased torque allows for improved linear accuracy over the entire flow range, maximizing revenue, longer meter life and reduced maintenance cost.

IMPROVED RESOLUTION ENABLING ACTIONABLE DATAThe C700 meter is now available with an 8-dial odometer register that provides an industry standard encoder output that allows options of touch reading or connection to all major meter reading systems for both mobile and fixed network data collection. The values for up to eight odometer wheels can be provided through the industry standard output allowing for improved leak detection and demand profiling through advanced meter data analytics and consumer engagement tools. Reliability is provided through a hermetically sealed copper can and mineral glass register enclosure ensuring IP68 protection over an extended meter lifetime.

RELIABLE ENCODER REGISTER TECHNOLOGYThe encoder electronics are powered remotely by the reading device. Light from light emitting diodes (LED’s) is guided through each number wheel which have a series of asymmetrically arranged light channels. The resultant unique light sequence is received by photo-transistors and the information relayed to a microprocessor mounted on the printed circuit board (PCB). The exact radial position of each number wheel is identified and relayed to the remote reading device.

COMMON LID DESIGNS Standard lid design that is common for both encoder registers as well as direct read registers. The lid of the register protects the register lens from build-up of debris, simplifying visual reading when required.

FULL SWING LID Hinge allows lid to open 225° for maximum reading convenience.

PERMANENT REGISTER SEALING Proven copper can, tempered glass lens and rubber gasket sealing prevents moisture penetration.

HOUSING & LID OPTIONS Streamlined-profile register housing and lid are available in standard grey or optional lilac color for identification of reclaimed water applications.

IMPROVED TAMPER RESISTANCE Inconspicuous tamper-resistant plug improves security.

STRAIGHT-THROUGH BODY DESIGN The water flow pattern is free from meter body obstructions, reducing pressure loss.

BRONZE MATERIAL C700 meters are available in NSF-61 certified low lead bronze.

DUAL INLET-OUTLET PORTING A balanced flow stream reduces wear and lowers pressure loss while maximizing accuracy at all flows.

ADVANCED PISTON DESIGN Optimized diameter to height ratio provides the absolute lowest starting flow. Increased torque allows for improved linear accuracy over the entire flow range, maximizing revenue.

ECCENTRIC DRIVETM

The piston drive is mounted off-center on the piston and captive to the magnetic drive bar to provide smooth operation and reduced noise. All wear prone areas (such as thrust bearings) are strategically located and made of loaded nylon to virtually eliminate wear.

GROOVED PISTONTM

A technological breakthrough uses shaped, vertical grooves to create a Turbulence SealTM. This unique feature actually uses the water flow to create turbulence to prevent water from bypassing the piston, thus improving measurement accuracy.

CONTOURED DIVISION PLATE Division plate design helps to smooth and quiet piston rotations.

PHASED PORTINGTM

Slightly offset top and bottom inlet ports allow the water flow to smoothly move the piston, eliminating erratic piston movement and reducing noise.

SELF-CLEARING CHAMBER A sediment well is located in the chamber floor to provide a self-cleaning cavity for debris.

EASILY REMOVABLE STRAINER Strainer fits snugly into a body recess to provide a more effective straining area, at minimum 3-1/2 times the meter inlet.

CORROSION PROTECTION The 5/8” - 1” C700 meters are provided with stainless steel bolts with integral washers and full rubber bottom plate liners for isolation of the bottom plate from potable water.

CHOICE OF BOTTOM PLATES Meter are available with a choice of polymer, bronze bottom plates for warm environments as well as cast iron bottom plates for frost protection in colder climates.
