1 INTRODUCTION Configuration is a sensitive operation, which has direct consequences on the correct
operation of the vehicle. Incorrect configuration can have an impact on:
• Safety (deactivation of vehicle protection devices),
• Overall functioning of the vehicle (complete loss of or damage to vehicle functions)
• Vehicle diagnostics (returning of fault codes which may cause the diagnostic tool
methods to fail, and lead to the unjustified removal of parts).
You are therefore requested to perform the configuration operation following the
instructions on this INFO’DIAG in order to ensure customer satisfaction by returning
their vehicle in a perfect operational state.
2 PRELIMINARIES The instructions below must be followed to guarantee safety linked to vehicle operation
and well-being.
2.1 Safety advice Before starting the engine:
• Check that the electronic parking brake is activated,
• If the gearbox is automatic, check that the gear lever is in position «P » (Park),
• If the gearbox is manual, check that the gear lever is in neutral.
2.2 Technical advice The BSI must be correctly configured before initialising the BSI, initialising the keys or
starting the engine.
