中国话有一种词语叫做成语，一般是四个字的词，中国人喜欢用

成语形容很多事。大多的成语都有故事。今天我要讲“画蛇添

足”这个成语故事。很久以前，有一个有钱人家里祭拜 祖先，请

了很多人来帮忙。祭拜完以后，这个有钱人拿了一瓶好酒请三个

帮忙的人喝，可是大家觉得不如三个人比赛画蛇，谁画得快，画

得好，谁就可以自己喝那瓶好酒。后来第一人画好了，他看另外

两人还在画，所以他就又拿起笔，给蛇再加四只脚。这时候第二

个人也画好了，他看到第一个人画的蛇有脚，就大叫“哈哈！你

输了！酒是我的，因为哪条蛇有脚呢？”。其他的人也笑第一个

人，结果第一个人就输了！后来人们就用“画蛇添足”来形容

“做了不用做的事，多做了反而做错了”。
