Subject:- OPERATION TO SHIT AIRFIELD
PIA will be operating charter flights to Bhit with ATR42-500 aircraft once again. Airfield isowned by M/s ENI Pakistan Limited. Brief description of relevant information and facilitiesavailable at Bhit airfield are given below:

10. PROCEDURES:
a) ARRIVAL,
PCAA has evolved NDB instrument procedure for runway 17 at Bhit.Copy of the NDB procedure is enclosed herewith,Visibility minimum for landing RWY 17/35 is 3000m. Operation is conducted under VMC.The pilot-in-command of an aircraft in flight outside controlled airspace when at orbelow 3000 ft above mean sea level, or 1000 ft above the ground, whichever is higher,shall remain clear of clouds, in sight of the ground or water, and shall fly so as tomaintain a flight visibility of 3000m or more.
Nate: RWY layout with threshold coordinates of RWY 17 & RWY 35 is available on RWYlayout chart.
b) DEPARTURE'
Departing aircraft will contact Bhit for start-up, taxi out and takeoff.After contact is established with Karachi control, the crew will pass departuremessage and ETA destination to Bhit.
This supersedes all previous Routes & Navigation Bulletins regarding operation to Bhit.

10-OBSTRUCTIONS AROUND AIRFIELD,• There is high ground 10-50 feet high (progressively descending towards runway end)
at a distance of 1300 feet from end of runway 30 (undershoot of runway 12).Some high ground 10-50 feet is there on the right hand side, while approachingrunway at about 300 feet from its edge.
1I.CAUTION DURING OPERATIONS:In view of the high ground in approach of RWY 30, all pilots operating to Kadanwari areadvised to exercise caution while landing and taking-off. Pilots should also watch forshifting dunes in the vicinity of the airstrip.
12. PROCEDURES:
a) ARRIVAL:
CAA-Pakistan has evolved NDB instrument procedure for runway 12/30 at Kadanwari. Copyof the charts containing these instrument approaches procedure (LAPS) is enclosed herewith.The visibility minima for straight in and Circle to Land approaches to runway 12/30 is 1500meters.
b) DEPARTURE:Departing aircraft will contact Kadanwari control for start-up, Taxi out and takeoff. Aftercontact is established with Karachi control, the crew will pass departure message and ETAdestination to Kadanwari control.
This supersedes all previous Routes & Navigation Bulletins regarding operation to Kadanwari.
