Overview of my lecture

The nature of observations

Let’s do an experiment

How to handle observations well

Summary & discussion

Application: Why SE sounds better than PP

(C) ir. bureau Vanderveen bv www.mennovanderveen.nl

7

WHAT IS AN OBSERVATION?

we notice something

there comes a link between something being or happening and awareness in our being

(C) ir. bureau Vanderveen bv www.mennovanderveen.nl

8

THE NATURE OF OBSERVATIONS

where do we observe

SPI RI T

MATTER

US

(C) ir. bureau Vanderveen bv www.mennovanderveen.nl

9

THE NATURE OF OBSERVATIONS

two examples:

I am aware that .....

I “feel” that my child needs me

I “see” that the glass is broken

The borderline between spirit and matter is very thin;some say: “matter is condensed spirit”

(C) ir. bureau Vanderveen bv www.mennovanderveen.nl

10

THAT’S WHY I INTRODUCED IN 2007:

“VALVE AMP CREATION”

Q = The Devine “Quality”

F = Feeling (subconscious)

O and S = The Creator, us

A = The Creation, the Amplifier

(C) ir. bureau Vanderveen bv www.mennovanderveen.nl

11

THE NATURE OF OBSERVATIONS

conclusive:

Our being (consciousness) is involved

Our sensors (inclusive feeling) are involved

Almost no distinction between spirit and matter

12

ATTITUDE TOWARDS OBSERVATIONS

animal level (direct reactions like fear, fight, escape,..)

human level (action, description, study, neglect, research, joy, guilt, explanation, theory, ..)

We can think and consider, which makes us unique

(C) ir. bureau Vanderveen bv www.mennovanderveen.nl

13

EXPERIMENT mike amplification; listen to mid-high tonal character

filter 0: no filter

filter 1: high pass switch on mixer

filter 2: high pass switch on mike

observe changes in mid-high tonal character

Which filter resembles the best compared to without filter

(C) ir. bureau Vanderveen bv www.mennovanderveen.nl

14

WHAT DID WE DO?

We repeated the observation to make our observation more sure

We improved the conditions to focus better

We drew a kind of conclusion

We started with an explanation

(C) ir. bureau Vanderveen bv www.mennovanderveen.nl

15

THE NEXT STEPS

We compare our observation to what we know

Science also compares with literature

Based on that we decide for further action

(C) ir. bureau Vanderveen bv www.mennovanderveen.nl

16

WHAT IS STRIKING

In this experiment I trust my observation THIS IS ESSENTIAL

It might be so that I do not know the explanation That will ask for more study Which probably will lead to new inventions

(C) ir. bureau Vanderveen bv www.mennovanderveen.nl

17

CONCLUSIVE

Never doubt your observations Try to repeat, to get more insight Compare to literature, discuss and so on

All great inventions are based on observations They are the basis of us

(C) ir. bureau Vanderveen bv www.mennovanderveen.nl

18

EXAMPLE: MICRO DETAILS

With SE amp I can hear micro details better than with PP

I hear more details with SE, even the smallest With PP I even don’t know such micro details

exist

This simple observation lead to new OPT demands and theory, which I will explain

(C) ir. bureau Vanderveen bv www.mennovanderveen.nl

19

CONCEPT OF MICRO DETAILS - 1

CONCEPT OF MICRO DETAILS - 2

21

CONCEPT OF MICRO DETAILS - 3

22

CONCEPT OF MICRO DETAILS - 4

(C) ir. bureau Vanderveen bv www.mennovanderveen.nl

23

CONCEPT OF MICRO DETAILS - 5

PP SE

24

CONCEPT OF MICRO DETAILS - 6

(C) ir. bureau Vanderveen bv www.mennovanderveen.nl

25

CONCLUSIVE

Based on observation (loudness micro details) New explanation why SE sounds better than PP Not based on 2-nd harmonic vs 3-rd harmonic Based on less weakening in OPT through perm

loss at low level reproduction.

A new theory !
