Council Denies Appeal In Benner Suspension Case
An appeal made before the , City Council last week, in the ' case of the suspension of Fire ' Captain J. Benner was denied Tuesday night on the recom mendation of City Attorney Otto B. Willett.
It was stated in the denial that the punishment meted out to Captain Benner was not un reasonable and the Civil Service Commission ruling should be up held.
Following a trial on charges brought by Fire Chief J. E. McMaster, Captain Benner was convicted and suspended for 45 days without pay.
