This is the FOURTH WASHINGTON STATE PATRIOTIC DAY carrying on the annual President George Washington Birthday tradi on of MASSING OF THE COLORS supported by the AMERICA’S FIRST CORPS BAND in honoring patriots that have served the United States of America and guiding our YOUTH, the future of our Country, into patrio sm. In addi on to FLAG UNITS caring two flags (American & organiza onal) FLAG UNITS without a second flag or just as an op on may carry only the American Flag (see Page 2). FLAG UNIT APPLICATION is page 3.
AMERICA’S FIRST CORPS BAND PATRIOTIC INSPIRATIONAL MUSIC provided by the AMERICA’S FIRST CORPS BAND will create the basic atmosphere of this celebra on. This world-class Band creates a bond between the United States Army and the Washington State community. Come and enjoy the Band’s concert of music celebra ng President George Washington’s Birthday and honoring the long line of patriots that have served our Country.
COME EARLY to be seated for the band music and parade of colors that starts promptly at 2 pm.

PARTICIPATION IS PATRIOTISM
THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO PARTIPATE:
1. SPECTATORS seated in chairs on the gymnasium floor or in the stands. Free Admission. Op onal: vote for your favorite flag unit. See below.
2. FLAG UNIT IN PARADE OF COLORS AND MASSING OF COLORS. —— Carry just the American Flag. Example: bearer or single bearer accompanied by one or two children or youth. —— Carry the American Flag and an organiza onal flag. Submit the applica on on page 3 not later than February 20, 2020. Event day: Report to the Registrar in the Auxiliary Gymnasium not later than 1300 hours (1:00 PM).
FLAG UNIT SPECTATOR ATTENDANCE COMPETITION
ALL FLAG UNITS ARE AUTOMATICALLY entered into spectator a endance cash prize compe on in one of the following four categories.
1. Youth organiza ons with more than 50% of members in grades below high school. 2. Youth and young adult organiza ons with members in high school and higher. 3. Primarily adult organiza ons to include church, family, Veteran service, civil, and community. 4. Individuals will be placed in an above category by the Registrar.
ATTENDANCE REWARD AMOUNT FOR EACH CATEGORY
1st place $500, 2nd place $250, 3rd place $100
GENERAL RULES
1. AMERICAN FLAG: Parade size (3 x 5 feet), carried on a standard. 2. FLAG UNIT must have a minimum of 50 spectators a ending and vo ng by 2:15PM to be considered for a FLAG UNIT SPECTATOR ATTENDANCE REWARD. 3. All persons born count for a endance and may vote. Adults may vote for children.
