FEATURES & BENEFITS • Easy, quick installation saving costs over traditional solutions • Immediate and sustainable protection • Reduces erosion while promoting vegetation Promotes infiltration of surface water Superior UV resistance for up to 75-year design life Withstands hydraulic stresses including high water flows and wave impact • Promotes sustainable aquatic habitats with aesthetic enhancement PROJECT SUMMARY The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, decided to restore and armor the banks of the C-37 canal. This canal is a segment of the Kissimmee River, which drains a 3,000 square mile watershed that discharges to Lake Okeechobee. Significant storm-related flows through the Kissimmee River along with frequent recreational boat traffic had severely eroded the canal banks and contributed to degraded river water quality. The US Army Corps of Engineers selected ARMORMAX® Engineered Earth Armoring Solution™ to stabilize the eroding bank while also minimizing the need for costly and less environmentally friendly rock riprap. ARMROMAX was installed quickly and provided immediate erosion protection.
