    PARISH INFORMATION & EVENTS

From the Pastor: On this Sunday following Christmas, the Church cele-brates the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, re-minding us of how God’s plan is for the centrality of families as the place in which faith develops and grows. This celebration gives us the Holy Family as our example to try and achieve the desire of God in our lives and our world. Mary and Joseph take the infant Jesus to the temple as prescribed in the law, to present Him to the Lord, representative of how a mother and father take their newborn child to the Church for Bap-tism. In the days ahead, the Church will also celebrate Mary, the Holy Mother of God, after her saying yes to God’s request. We can again reflect on her ‘yes’ and our willingness to say ‘yes’ to God in what He is ask-

ing of us and then make the commitment to fulfill His request of us. As Mary ponders all these things that are happening to her in her heart, she leads us to pon-der the great wonders of God in our midst each day and pray for all families to be strengthened by our Lord.

    Peace, Fr. Fred
