Summertime is always busy and wonderful.
Summertime means graduations, camps, vacations,
longer days, and new rhythms for life. For Daniel, it
means graduating students, youth camps, visiting
teams, longer days and lots of new work. In this
Byrd’s Eye View, we’ll explore some new mission
points and catch a glimpse of some visiting teams.
Believe it or not, if you’re considering a mission
trip to work with Daniel, now is the time to start
planning for summer 2015!

Our newest village is
Mulgra Ilvri. We are going bi-
weekly to this village and have
had very little response. I was
called by a Romanian pastor,
Petrica, in hopes of reaching
the youth here. I have a team
coming next week to work
with them for a week. Please
pray for the many Roma who
are in this area. Pray for God
to show Himself in a mighty
way so they will join us in
heaven.
We began a new bible study in a small city
called Samarasu. We showed the Jesus film and
had over 150 people attend. The youth there have
been somewhat faithful to attend the Bible studies
taught by one of my disciples, Somi. He is teaching
them through the book of John and doing an excel-
lent job. I think that God is showing me that my
students are becoming leaders and this makes my
soul rejoice.
Philippians 4:4 "Rejoice in the Lord always,
again I will say rejoice."
Doors are opening in the village of Mulgra Ilvri and the little city of Samarasu

Old McDaniel had a FARM
We did our annual FARM project
this year for one week in Bulgaria
and Bacau, Romania. We helped our
missionary with some of her students
by sharing testimonies, preaching,
and singing. We were very blessed. I
took three of my disciples – Alex,
Tarzan, and Somi. Each week they
ask me when we can go back. They
share with me things they would like
to do to help the lost. We have
decided to go bi-monthly to help the
Graduate Banquet
Since its inception in 1845, the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC)
has always had one mission—the Great
Commission (Matt. 28:19-20). To
fulfill its assigned part of this divine mandate, each SBC entity made special
offering appeals to the churches. This
method was referred to as the “societal” approach to missions and
resulted in severe financial deficits,
competition among entities, overlapping pledge campaigns, and
frequent emergency appeals which
greatly hampered the expanding
ministry opportunities God was giving Southern Baptists. Some entities took
out loans to cover operating costs until
pledges or special offerings were received.
In 1919, the leaders of the SBC
proposed the 75 Million Campaign, a five-year pledge campaign that, for the
first time, included everything—the
missions and ministries of all the state
conventions as well as that of the Southern Baptist Convention. Though
falling short of its goals, a God-given
partnership of missions support was conceived—The Cooperative Program.
Since its launch in 1925, the
effectiveness of the Cooperative
Program has been dependent upon individuals, churches, state
conventions, and SBC entities
cooperating, working toward a common goal of sharing the gospel
with every person on the planet.

finances to help them to go.
My youth and I served them
and had a Christian banquet
just for them where we had
some of their teachers, the
principal, and two American
guest speakers. Thank you,
Roger, Kevin, and Lisa. You
helped so much to encourage
them.

Bacau, a
Romanian
pastor, to begin
a new work
with youth in
two of his
villages. He was
very pleased
and we are very
pleased he has the same
heart for the Roma as
we do. Rubin and I
have done many camps
together and although
his heart was for the
Romanians, God called
him to work with the
Roma. I am thankful he
is faithful to hear and
respond to the call of
our Lord.
The Lord put on my heart to
do a banquet for the youth
who had graduated this year.
Many of you have supported
my thoughts of educating the
Roma youth, as this would be
a clear way for them to have a
chance to better their lives.
We had nine Roma graduates,
which was a miracle to me. I
say this because
in the school
system they are
not encouraged
to continue and
often times stop
because of this.
I thank you all

Prayer Requests Please pray for... Our busy summer! Please pray as
we return bi-weekly to Bacau, our new city and villages, and for teams that are coming.
My faithfulness in the Word of God. Pray I find more time with Him, and less time with me.
Members of my family who are lost, especially Daniel who is struggling with drugs.
Lastly, I have a very urgent prayer request. God has called one of my young people to become a missionary. Alin knows this yet the
enemy has called him to enjoy lust for a season. Please pray for Alin to come back to Christ.
Continue earnestly in prayer...
… being vigilant in it with thanksgiving
