EVOLUTION OF GLASS TECHNOLOGY:At Byerly Boards we pride ourselves on pressing the limits of fiberglass

technology and board construction. Our “Evolution of Glass Technology” refers

to the different internal construction methods we use throughout the line. These

technologies and construction methods took years of development and testing

to ensure they were perfect before they were introduced. Most importantly all

of these constructions focus on materials that are designed to be compatible

with the overall construction of the board. Only combinations of material that

fuse to become one during the compression molding process are selected.

This ensures the strongest possible board construction we can build.

SHAPED BY BUTCH Every shape in the Byerly line is marked with Shaped byScott “Butch” Bouchard. Byerly and Butch’s longtime friendship and collaboration has produced some of the most popular shapes in the history of wake. Innovations like 3-Stage rockers and Molded-in fins have all come out of Mr. Bouchard’s shaping room. Each board featured in the Byerly line was created and shaped by hand from a single piece of foam, designed to the exact specifications of the team. Over the years Butch has not only shaped each board but also designed and perfected every construction and lay-up within the line. You can be assured that any Byerly board shaped by Butch is the most progressive product in the industry.

DOUBLE LAP CONSTRUCTION (AVAILABLE IN MONARCH 52” 54” 56”) This construction utilizes the additional strength created when the top and bottom fiberglass sheets overlap one another at the perimeter of the board. Once fused, the overlapped glass creates a stronger, more durable sidewall. The Double Lap is exclusive to Byerly boards and the first level of fiberglass technology.

WOVEN FIBERGLASS ROPE SIDEWALL (AVAILABLE IN ASSAULT 53” 55”) The addition of a Fiberglass Rope sidewall has made a great product even better. This new formula is a custom make-up of three different fibers of glass woven together and inlayed in the sidewall of the Assault before the board is pressed. Once infused with resin the Glass Rope sets and fuses with the top and bottom laminates creating a strong and durable sidewall.

DUAL FIBERGLASS ROPE INLAYS (AVAILABLE IN CONSPIRACY 54” 56”)Utilizing the same Woven Glass Rope found in the Assault series, the Conspiracy takes it one step further. This ultra strong material is not only found in the sidewalls of the board but also in the perimeter of the elevated deck. This means twice the reinforcement creating unmatched strength and a fore-body that will maintain its rocker line all the way through the wake. A board that is stronger and more responsive than anything in the industry with no added weight, the ultimate in glass technology!

FLAK-JACKET CONSTRUCTION (AVAILABLE IN BLUNT 53” 55”)The construction incorporates Carbon and Kevlar strands into a larger diameter fiberglass rope perimeter. These two elements add both strength and an explosive pop and responsiveness. We call this new sidewall our “Flak Jacket Sidewall”. This new material runs the full perimeter of the Blunt creating an uninterrupted ring of strength, durability, and lively pop!
