Activity #1Description of a Picture

Students copy and paste in a picture; write a paragraph describing it.

Skills required for this activity:1. Open a Word Document2. Open Insert and click on Clipart. 3. Choose a picture and paste to the document.4. Type up the sentences.5. Press print or save.

* This activity is geared towards grades k-2 and can be done in both French and English.

Students write on the computer a procedural piece of writing describing how to make ice cream sundaes.

Skills required for this activity:1. Create a bullet list for the ingredients and

the steps2. Spell check3. Insert a picture of their sundae or from

clipartThis activity is geared towards grades 3-5 and

be done in both French and English

Example of Activity #2Ingredients: Steps to follow:Ice creamSauces – chocolate,

caramel, strawberryToppings – sprinkles,

cherries, peanuts, whip cream

Open ice cream container

Scoop out ice cream and put in bowl

Open jar of preferred sauce and pour over the ice cream

Choose toppings of choice and put on top of sauce.

Eat and enjoy!

Activity #3Poster of a Special Event

Students will create an Advertisement that will be displayed in their school or community promoting an upcoming event.

Skills required for this activity:1. Students will choose to work in Microsoft

Word or Microsoft Publisher.2. Students will use and create titles, text

wrapping, clipart, fonts, size of text, layout of the page and different colors of text.

This activity is geared towards grades 6-8 in both French and English.
