EAST PROJECT -INDEPENDENT STUDY

INTRODUCTION

Purpose: to learn a new program while learning a General Geology concept.

I was assigned the Bowen’s Reaction Series and decided to use the Adobe Illustrator program.

METHODS AND TECHNOLOGY USED

Internet Adobe Illustrator

- program used for the poster

Adobe Photoshop- program used to crop photos to place into Illustrator

MY PROJECT

• Copy and re-size arrows

ADOBE PHOTOSHOPSelection tool

• Magnetic lasso-outlines and produces and easier way to select an object. Picks up contrast colors

• Put the picture in a new Photoshop file, save and place into Illustrator.

• This makes the background transparent so that the object blends with the background of the poster.
