Deep in the heart of Texas

Random people always greet others who they might not be familiar with.

Eg. two people waiting for an elevator will talk to each other.

People will act overly nice. the usage of pet names.

Texas is one of the hottest places in America.

Pools are open longer during the year.

Plants like cacti grow because of the hot conditions

We have to mow our grass about 9 out of the 12 months of the year.

Sports are a big part of Texas. One big sports team in Texas, The

Dallas Cowboys. established in the 1960s

have won the super bowl 5 times. Other sports teams, such as the Dallas

stars are a big part of Dallas as well. Founded in 1967

Won the Stanly cup once in the ‘98-99’ season.

Usually if it gets too cold, schools will be cancelled.

When it snows, it melts in about a few hours. People don’t know how to drive in two

inches of snow. We don’t have snow plows or rock salt Car accidentsPeople panic and take off work, and Stores

close.

It’s not a Hoagie, or sub. It’s a sandwich. When ordering any type of drink, it’s referred

to as a Coke. Everyone eats Tex Mex, BBQ, and Mexican

Food, Fried Okra, and Texas Lollipops. Some Local restaurants include:

Texas Land and Cattle, Bubba’s Worst BBQ, and Randy White’s BBQ.
