Uganda is near the cost of Africa and is very small.

The countries that surround it are called: Kenya, Dr.Congo, Rwanda and Tanzania.

There is a lake by it called Lake Victoria.

In the middle of the Uganda flag there is a grey crow (bird).

The crow was the official Uganda symbol.

The black stripes represent the African people.

The yellow stripes represent the sun.

The red stands for brotherhood.

The Uganda flag was adopted on October 9th 1962 that was the day Uganda gained independence for Britain.

The Uganda flag was designed by Mr. Grace Ibingira he was the Minister of justice at the time.

The Uganda flag was the second of his two flag designs.

The warmest temperature they have had is 27 c.

People in Uganda have to walk for miles to get water to drink and

get really thirsty on the way because the

sun is always out at daytime. But it’s still hot at night.

The size of Uganda is 236,000 km. Uganda is the 80th biggest country in the world.

The countries that border Uganda are Democratic republic of Congo,

Kenya, Rwanda, Sudan and Tanzania.

Most famous people in Uganda are known for sports.

Some of them were in the summer Olympics games. Uganda has set the most world records all over the world.

There are not as many famous people in Uganda because most of them move to loads of different country all around the world. John Akii Bua is one of the gold medallistsin the summer.

Food In UgandaFood In UgandaIn Uganda people eat things like chicken and rice they use

Ingredients like fish, chicken or beef and they also use peanut

sauce it is what most people put on their meat. In Uganda rice

is quite filling rice is very common most people have it nearly every day.

For pudding they have mashed banana’s it is very common.

School in UgandaSchool in Uganda In Uganda not all of the children go to school.

After Primary most Children drop out of school due to school fees.

Classes start at 8:30 am and finish at 4:30 pm.

Not all of the children that go to school wear uniform.

Uganda has normal school as well as boarding school there is also private school but that costs too much for parents to afford.

Some children are lucky to go to private school but it means that their parents would have to pay allot.

Men usually wear a Kanzu here are some Men wearing Kanzus. People in Uganda wear bright colours because it is really warm there.

In Uganda people usually wear a traditional Busuti or Gomasi dress (a Gomasi is a colourful sari) for Women.

In Uganda they have the worlds youngest king.

He became the king at the age of 3 years old because

his dad died in 1995. He had a little throne and he played with his toys all day.

If you one of his friends you would have to hug him or give him hand shake but

if you were family to show that you loved him you would have to kiss his feet.

Capital City In UgandaCapital City In Uganda

Kampala is the capital city of Uganda.

While Kampala is often referred to as the greenest city in Africa,

it is also the heart of Uganda. Over 1 million people live in Kampala

making it Uganda’s biggest city. Kampala in one of the fastest growingcities in Africa.

Uganda Fair TradeUganda Fair TradeThe fair trade products that Uganda produces are coffee and tea.

There is a fair trade company in Uganda, which started in 2000.

It sells jewellery, baskets, kids gifts, wooden crafts and ornaments.

The money it makes goes to widows and helps the disabled.
