Water sticking to objects or any other things like when it rains on a car and the rain sticks to the window this is called adhesion. Also another example is when your washing your hands and water sticks to your hands and makes them wet this is another example of adhesion.Adhesion

Cohesion is when water sticks to more water. For an example when u pour a cup of water then the water bonds together and sticks to more water, this is an example of cohesionCohesion

Capillary ActionCapillary action is like when u water a plant the water is absorbed into the plant for growth and nutrients. Adhesion and cohesion allows this to happen.

Molecules meeting with each other and connecting are bonding water molecules together . When this happens this is called a hydrogen bondHydrogen Bond

Polarity is basically having opposite unbalanced sides. Like oxygen attracts more than hydrogen making the sides very unbalanced. Water can seem to be sticky and bonds together because of its polarity.Polarity

Significance of waters specific DensityWhen ice floats on top of water in large bodies of water. This is because its density + its specific heat. Frozen water molecules align in a space with a pattern. Also ice density is less than waters density.

Wonder why water takes a long time to cool down? This is because of its specific heat. Water absorbs heat then releases it all very slowly.Significance of waters specific heat

Bonds holding molecules together is cohesion. And allows things to float on it. For an example when u go swimming and you are floating on top of the water this is because of surface tension and the water molecules are stuck together because of hydrogen bonds.Surface Tension

When u see water dissolve things like powder, food, and other substances this is because it puts its routine together with hydrogen bonds, polarity. Water dissolves more things than almost any other liquid. Just like when u are cooking and mixing ingredients with water. It dissolves the ingredients slowly or quickly.Universal solvent

The water cycle is mainly a process which water goes through. Like when it rains water goes through this process belowThe Water Cycle

FUN FACTS

Hot Water Freezes Faster Than Cold WaterIce Spikes

A healthy person can drink about three gallons (48 cups) of water per day.

Pure water (solely hydrogen and oxygen atoms) has a neutral pH of 7, which is neither acidic nor basic. The total amount of water on the earth is about 326 million cubic miles of water.
