NSS UNIT-BVRITH FOR THE PEOPLE

Name of the Program:Go Green Rally

Date: 22-04-2015

Brief Report of the Event:

NSS-BVRITH organized Go Green Rally in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar on the occasion of World

Earth Day. This program is planned to create awareness about the necessity of conserving the

beauty of Mother Earth. Students raised slogans and carried placards during the rally such as

Go Green before Green Goes; Save Earth, Save Water and Save Resources when they

marched in the streets. Dr V Madhavi, NSS In-Charge, Faculty and NSS Volunteers

participated in this rally.

Name of the Program:Helmet Awareness Campain- National Safety day

Date: 04-03-2015



NSS-BVRITH had conducted " Helmet Awareness Campain on the eve occasion of National

Safety day on 4th March 2015 at Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Nizampet. The main objective of this

event was to create awareness & knowledge about the need for helmets in preventing head

injuries and death. NSS volunteers gathered at the in-gate entrance of the campus. The rally,

which began from the college, was flagged off by the Principal, Prof K V N Sunitha. NSS

volunteers put plackards that promoted road safety and urged them to wear a helmet, if

traveling by bike and to fasten their seat belts, if traveling by cars.The volunteers chanted

slogans that said "Wear Helmet Be Safe – Wear Helmet For Our Family”.

Name of the Program:JMJ Snehasadan Orphanage Cum Old-Age Home Visit

Date: 31-12-14



NSS Unit of BVRIT Hyderabad College of Engineering for Women celebrated New Year

2019 in JMJ SnehaSadan Orphanage, Bachupally. This Orphanage has around 50 Children

and 20 old aged people. Few faculty members of the college accompanied volunteers to the

destination at 3:00 pm on 31/12/2014. Volunteers distributed needy items to the kids. They

were very happy with gifts they received. Volunteers were glad to interact with old aged

people and they exchanged New Year wishes.

Name of the Program:National Voters Day Celebrations

Date: 31-12-14



NSS –BVRITH was conducted NATIONAL VOTERS’ DAY 2019 on 25th Jan 2015 at

BVRIT Hyderabad Campus. The main aim of organizing this event to encourage more young

voters to take part in the political process. We all know that 25th January is the foundation

day as “National Voters’ Day” every year to register the newly eligible young citizens in the

electoral roll. Around 32 NSS volunteers and more than 150 students participated in this

celebration. They took voters pledge and ensured that they will successfully take part in

voting. There were some first year Bachelors NSS Volunteers who will be giving first time

vote. Princiapl of the BVRITH, Dr K V N Sunitha addressed the gathering. NSS program

officer Dr V Madhavi, Coordinated this event.

Name of the Program:World Autism Awareness Day

Date: 02-04-15



World Autism Awareness Day is observed annually on 2nd April to persuade member states

to take measure for raising awareness of people about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), a

rare neurological disorder appearing mainly in infants. NSS volunteers of BVRITH provide

and support the individuals living with autism. It is kind gesture shown by NSS volunteers

towards autism children from Abhaya Care foundation for taking them to Zoo on world

autism day.

Name of the Program:Republic Day Celebrations

Date: 26-01-2015



On the auspicious morning of 26th Jan, BVRIT HYDERABAD College of Engineering for

women celebrated Republic Day in the premises. It was the matter of great pride for all of

us. Then the Principal unfurled the national flag. After that everybody stood straight for

National Anthem sung by the students. Then there were parades by students. After this,

students presented cultural items. These cultural items included patriotic songs, skit and

speeches. . Finally vote of thanks was proposed by Dr.Ch.SunilKumar,Vice Principal. The

celebration came to an end by singing the National anthem. The students dispersed after

snacks with the image of the fluttering tricolor in their mind and heart. May we continue

celebrating this day forever!

Name of the Program:Aids Awareness Campaign

Date: 01-12-2014



NSS BVRITH-for the people organized AIDS awareness program on 01-12-2014 for

prohibition and prevention of AIDS. The objective of this program was to create awareness

about HIV/AIDS and its possible causes, prevention of the disease, mitigation of the impact

of HIV/AIDS in the society.





Name of the Program:Daanutsav-Joy of Giving

Date: 08-10-2014



DaanUtsav was formerly known as The Joy of Giving Week. The Joy of Giving Week

(JGW) is a "festival of philanthropy” that aims to become a part of the Indian ethoswith the

Week being celebrated every yearcovering Gandhi Jayanti by engaging people through "acts

of giving" - money, time, resources and skills. Our NSS unit BVRITH-FOR THE PEOPLE,

organized “DaanUtsav” on 8th October 2014. The students had stalls of food, ornaments,

plants etc were sold and the generated amount 10,000 has been donated to the orphanage.





Name of the Program:Ganesh Idols distribution

Date: 27-08-14



Ganesh Utsav, a 10 day celebration of the birth of Lord Ganesha, one of the most anticipated

festivals which involves installation of ganesh idols, along with decorative items like pandals,

flowers and other items. The idols made of Plaster of Paris which is insoluble in water bodies

cause tremendous damage to the marine ecosystem. To fight these challenges during the

festival and to protect the environment, NSS volunteers of BVRIT HYDERABAD College of

Engineering for Women came up with conduction of clay idol making competition and free

distribution in and around Bachupally that dissolve in water without polluting it with toxins.

Name of the Program:Plantation Program

Date: 26-08-14



In order to restore the eco-balance, extensive plantation program was conducted by NSS

BVRITH- for the people in different parts of our locality. The students and teachers selected

the empty places and the roadsides to plant saplings in a well-organised way. Students

enthusiastically participated in planting and watering the saplings. The programme created a

great stir among the general public too.

Name of the Program:Independence Day Celebations

Date: 15-08-14



BVRIT HYDERABAD College of Engineering for Women celebrated Independence Day of

India with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The activities held on the campus consisted

of special morning assembly, speeches. Parade was organized by NSS team at BVRIT

Hyderabad Campus.The principal hoisted the Tricolor. The national anthem echoed in the

entire campus. At the end, KVN Sunitha, Principal gave a speech reminding the students and

the teachers of the sacrifices made by our great freedom fighters and made us take pledge that

we would serve our motherland, India with heart, body, and soul to bring it glory and laurels

with our dignified deeds. At the end the students were distributed sweets.
