BVQ Storage Tier Analysis The BVQ Storage Tier Analysis shows very precisely where volumes are stored best in sense of performance and price
The performance capabilities of most storage setups are completely oversized
Several reasons for this • missing knowledge about real storage performance needs • missing knowledge about actual storage performance capabilities • avoid provoking an unplanned storage performance bottleneck situation
BVQ Storage Tier Analysis is a Method which uses BVQ Treemap with IO Density Metrics and BVQ IO Density Coloring and BVQ VDisk Perfromance Analysis

BVQ Heatmap – IO Density Coloring One Mouseclick Analysis
The BVQ Heatmap performs the same kind of analysis on one click Blue color means that this volume needs less than 20% of the performance capabilities of the group. It is a candidate for migration to cheaper storage. Normally we verify this in a more detailed performance analysis which can be done in some minutes per volume. The cost saving can be more than $2000 per TB depending storage quality On this table you see the other color coding's
