Fall 2006 Nobel Biocare has recently launched a direct-to-consumer marketing campaign which should be of great benefit to our SSC Directors and Members. This multi- faceted program is designed to boost practice growth and to improve patient/ staff communications. The company is currently airing three television commercials, three radio spots and running full-page advertisements in Self and Prevention magazines. The commercials are airing on programs such as Live! with Regis & Kelly , The View , Ellen and The Today Show , and on the Lifetime Network. In addition, they have an ongoing public relations campaign, which has featured several dentists using Nobel Biocare implants on over 65 local news stations throughout the country. The way the program works is when a new patient calls, and after being qualified, they are routed directly to the nearest available doctor participating in the program. Hundreds of calls are logged each day, and every doctor is given a secure website where they are provided a detailed report of all their calls. Doctors can even listen to the recorded calls for quality assurance and staff training. In an ef- fort to meet ongoing requests, the Seattle Study Club will be testing a few special “individual” web sessions. This is a terrific opportunity for individuals who would like to participate in a web meeting from the comfort of their own home or office. The only requirements are a computer with a wired high-speed connection and the desire to spend an evening with a dynamic teacher. These initial test sessions are limited to 3-4 people per session and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. Cost: $195 per person (must be paid at the time of reservation).
