    The following are

    some of the salient

    points emerging fromNoel Tichys work

    using Jack Welch and

    his team at GE (Tichy

    and Cohen 1997).

    1. Winningorganizations have

    leadership at all

    levels. Winning

    organizations

    produce leaders ascontrasted with

    others.

    2. Leaders haveideas, values,

    energy, and edge.

    Ideas and values

    guide their

    decisions. Energy

    and edge get them

    implemented.

    3. Without leadersorganizations

    stagnate. They

    dont keep pace

    with changing

    markets. They

    dont add

    shareholder value.
