BRIEF INTRODUCTION ABOUT IPL
The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in India contested annually by franchise teams representing Indian cities
In 2007, the Indian Cricket League was founded, with funding provided by Zee Entertainment Enterprises
The IPL is the most-attended cricket league in the world and ranks sixth among all sports leagues
In 2010, the IPL became the first sporting event in the world to be broadcast live on YouTube
The brand value of IPL was estimated to be US$3.2 billion in 2014.[7] According to BCCI, the 2015 IPL season contributed
11.5 billion (US$182 million) to the GDP ₹of Indian economy.

Government earns about more than Rs 200 crore as taxes from each edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) T20 cricket tournament.
Taxes are accrued as Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) from the remuneration paid to players, umpires, coaches, commentators amongst others under the income tax category while advertising, marketing and consultancy services of the sporting extravaganza are taxed under the service tax bracket.
.Entertainment tax: the tax paid at around 20% on the sale of tickets to each state government where the matches are held.
Tax deducted at source- on all payments to domestic players tax is deducted at 10 pet cent on their fee, professional fee, in case of foreign players the tax is deducted at the rate of 20- 30 % on their salary.
service tax-the service tax on sponsorship fee is borne by the service receiver
The service tax is also earned by the government in the form of accommodation and travel (bus and plane) of the team.
IMPACT OF IPL ON OTHER MEDIAS
IPL is telecasted after prime time slot of 8-11 pm. Currently, this slot is the most popular among housewives, it is likely that IPL will cause a dent in the ratings and revenues of other GECs.
IPL fever could have a negative rub off on the revenues of movies at the box office.

Wasteful water consumption (40-80 liters of water is used just to maintain pitches)
Pollution.
CONCLUSION
In spite of having some negative point of IPL ,there are many advantages
