The Northern Kentucky AreaDevelopment District(NKADD)/Northern KentuckyWorkforce Investment Board(NKWIB), as administrativeentity for the programs in theeight-county Northern Ken-tucky region, is requestingproposals for programs to op-erate between July 1, 2020 andJune 30, 2021. The eight-coun-ty area consists of Boone,Campbell, Carroll, Grant,Gallatin, Kenton, Owen andPendleton. The NKWIBawards contracts for oneyear, renewable annually forup to two additional years,pending satisfactory perform-ance. Any funding awardedwill be subject to the availa-bility of federal fundinggranted to the Workforce In-vestment Board/ADD throughthe Workforce Innovation andOpportunity Act (WIOA) bythe U. S. Department of La-bor (USDOL) distributed bythe Kentucky Education andWorkforce Development Cabi-net’s Department of Work-force Investment. Should theavailability of such fundingdecrease following any awardto a subrecipient, the awardwill be revised accordingly.In addition, if awarded, thesubcontractor must be willingto alter program design basedon NKWIB, State, or USDOLguidance.
The NKWIB is seeking ven-dors to provide WIOA serv-ices in the eight counties list-ed above. The successful ap-plicant must be able to:
• Serve as the One-Stop Oper-ator for Northern Kentucky’sworkforce services network inall eight counties served bythe NKWIB, including coordi-nating the services of one-stopnetwork partners at any full--service career center(s), af-filiate career center(s), orother service outlet(s) inthose counties.
• Deliver Direct WorkforceServices to job seekers andemployers through the full--service career center(s), af-filiate career center(s), orother service outlet(s) associ-ated with Northern Kentuck-y’s workforce services net-work in all the 8 counties list-ed above.
All services must be struc-tured in such a way that theyare aligned with the NorthernKentucky Workforce Invest-ment Area Industry Sectorslisted in the grant application.
