Maitri Sisodia: My motive for joining the course was to get some first hand pre-entrepreneurship experience with the guidance of industry experts.  I have got there by learning in each assignment about each little step in intricate details. I have met Jigar online from the very first day on course, we have been a team since the starting of the course. Our working pattern are different and we really complement the work :) Ankit had been a rescuer towards the end of the course. He joined the team before two weeks and since then there has been no looking back.

Jigar Panot: A student at IIT Madras and a part of C-TIDES, Entrepreneurship cell of IIT Madras. I joined this course with a view of learning and getting hands on experience. Initially, Maitri and myself had a long discussion about the idea generation and finally decided to Work on CSR. Our confidence and dedication level increased when Ankit joined later to support the team. It was an awesome experience and we look forward to go ahead with the plan – CSR Plus

Ankit Khandelwal: A Chemical engineering graduate with interest in various fields. Giving back to society made me associated with various NGO's. There is always a need for utilizing the CSR funding in an appropriate manner to benefit the society. That's how CSR Plus was born and I got associated with it.

Many companies seek to do various activities for the societal upliftment and development of the backward economic classes of the society by using the Corporate Social Responsibility funds and resources to improve their visibility in the Society.

Many corporate houses face the problem of finding the suitable causes and NGO’s/organizations they want to work with. CSR Plus helps them in connecting them with the organizations and helps them execute various events and activities through CSR.

Apart from that some companies may have resources for execution of their CSR but might lack a plan for execution. CSR Plus helps them with annual scheduling of the CSR activities.

CSR plus shall require initial investment to cater needs like marketing and sales, administrative, organizational, website and professional costs.

Some of the funding strategy that will be implemented are discussed:

• Individual donations: This includes money from our own pocket with a little support from relative or wealthy individual.

• Foundation grants: This includes the foundations that would like to invest in out impactful services through collaborative models.

• Government Grants: We might not receive financial support from the government but they can assist us with ‘government Benefits’, ‘Loans’, ‘Professionalism’.

• Online Fundraising: We will use online platform to raise venture funding for our organization to fulfil various business purposes

• Bank Loans: We will use bank funding only after the service has gone through seed or venture cycle, and when we are in a position to produce profit.

• Venture Leasing/ Incubators: This will provide for flexibility as it is structured specifically to assist early stage start ups.

We will charge a prefixed percentage on the CSR fund we are helping the company to mobilize and carry out the activities or events for the cause they have selected!

Our partner organizations will be providing us with a nominal 2000 INR per year for the operations and other expenses we have to spend for getting funders and programs for them.

• For the Annual CSR plan scheduling for companies along with execution support, our charge will be 5000 INR.

• For the Annual CSR plan scheduling for companies without the execution side support from us will be 7000 INR.

Services RiskServices offered by CSR Plus are very distinctive in nature. The measurement of impact is difficult during the project initiation

stage.

Market RiskThe revenue profile completely dependent on the performance of

the companies and funding allocated to CSR activities. Strong market means more funding allocation and higher revenue profile.

People Risk CSR Plus requires a unique set of people and partnership with many diverse set of organization. It requires set of guidelines to

align all of them in coherence with organization goals. It is the risk of losing them all the time.

Financial Risk Services offered by CSR Plus are very distinctive in nature. The measurement of impact is difficult during the project initiation

stage.

Competitive RiskThere are many firms already operating in this sector. Making initial

breakthrough will be difficult. Also the competition can put pressure on revenue stream.
