TP-LINK IP Clustering allows up to 32 units to be managed by a single IP, regardless of geographical locations. With all units identified by a single IP address, the stack can be confi gured, monitored, and maintained as a single device. Traffi c running across units in this virtual stack utilizes full-duplex interfaces and network wires, eliminating costly and cumbersome cables, and perhaps most importantly, providing a degree of redundancy, minimizing the impact of any single point of failure.

Access Control List (ACL, L2 to L4) restrict access to sensitive network resources by denying packets based on source and destination MAC address, IP address, TCP/UDP ports and even VLAN ID. Moreover, 802.1X authentication is used in conjunction with a RADIUS server to require authentication information before access to the network is allowed. Moreover, it supports Guest VLAN to enable non-802.1X clients to access specifi c network resources. In addition, IP-MAC-Port-VID Binding, Port Security, Storm control, DHCP Snooping and IP Source Guard support can protect against broadcast storms, ARP and Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks. TP-LINK L2 managed switches will provide you robust security strategies to keep your business with network safe and running effi ciently.

TP-LINK L2 managed switches support various user-friendly standard management features, such as intuitive web-based Graphical User Interface (GUI)or industry-standard Command Line Interface(CLI). Administration traffic can be protected through SSL or SSH encryptions. SNMP (V1/V2C/V3) and RMON support enables the switch to be polled for valuable status information and send traps on abnormal events.

To integrate voice, data and video service on one network, TP-LINK L2 managed switches apply r ich QoS policies. Administrators can designate the priority of the traffic using on a variety of methods including IP or MAC address, TCP or UDP port number, so voice and video are always clear, smooth and jitter free. In conjunction with Voice VLAN that the switch supports, voice applications will operate with much smoother performance.

TP-LINK L2 managed switches (3 Series) support many security features including 802.1x authentication, IP-MAC-Port-VID Binding, Port Security, Storm Control, DHCP Snooping and DoS (Denial-of-Service) defence. Overview

TP-LINK’s WEB Smart Switch series products are designed for simple network management for small and medium sized enterprises with cost-effective network requirements. A flexible combination of rich ports can provide gigabit uplinks, full gigabit SFP fi ber access and a diversity of choice. The switches also support basic web management functionality, security, stability and reliability. The devices also feature simple WEB management interfaces, allowing for convenient and fl exible network management and maintenance.

Network security is a top priority in any size business. VLANs allow the network to be segmented into groups (Departmental, Hierarchical, and Security Groups), enhancing the security of a network. 802.1Q is a standard that places a “tag” in a frame identifying which VLAN it belongs to. The advantage of this is that all 802.1Q compliant devices can work seamlessly together to manage VLAN traffi c. In addition, MTU VLAN enables each user port and the uplink port in the same VLAN.

The web smart switches support IEEE 802.1p, applying Class of Service with 4 priority queues per port: lowest, lower, higher and highest. Now administrators can designate bandwidth intensive and sensitive applications with higher priority to remain stable and fluid so that you don’t get interrupted when you’re watching a video online or lag during an Internet phone call.

The Switches automatic features make installation hassle-free. Auto-MDI/MDIX crossover on all ports eliminates the need for crossover cables for connection to another switch or hub. In conjunction with their VCT (Virtual Cable Test) feature, the switches make it easier to troubleshoot cabling issues through a web-based interface and keep all connections up. The easy-to-use web management interface, allows for faster setup and confi guration with less downtime.
