Improve the energy efficiency of your facilities and reduce operating costs through Puget Sound Energy’s Resource Conservation Manager (RCM) program. Our services are designed to help your organization employ a dedicated RCM who works with maintenance staff and other personnel to reduce the usage and costs of electricity, natural gas, water, sewer and solid waste. A three-year commitment to the program is necessary to achieve targeted savings. After assessing your current energy use, the RCM will recommend and help implement efficiency measures throughout your organization. This is especially valuable if you have multiple facilities. Savings come primarily from operational improvements and behavioral changes throughout the organization.

Benefits Most of the energy savings achieved through the RCM program are generated from changes in behavioral practices, and do not require significant investments in equipment. The program also helps identify and advocate energy-efficiency improvements to your facility that may qualify for PSE incentives.

Typical energy savings from the RCM program have proven to reduce usage and costs by 10 to 15 percent. Savings are accomplished over a three-year period through improvements in facility operations and maintenance, changes in occupant behavior, and attention to utility cost accounting.
