Program OverviewThe purpose of a business-education partnership is to link clients who need design support with talented visual communications students.
Included in this presentation are some of the successful winning student designs, and projects from class assignments.
In a biz-ed partnership, senior students will engage in a competition and the client will choose the winning design. Clients are under no obligation to use the design, though in the past, all have done so. The winning student designer(s) will get to add the client to their resume, have a client piece for their portfolio, receive a $50 honorarium payment from the client, and will be entitled to use the client as a job reference. Non-winning students will have the experience of working with a client in a design studio simulation, and have a piece created for a client in their portfolio. It’s a win-win situation with benefits for all involved.
Local clients may attend meetings in person, and national and international clients participate via teleconferencing.
