BARBIE AND WILLIAM BASSETTRFX Executive Consultantship from Madison, Mississippi

Barbie asks everyone she encounters to be a business partner …

In late 2010, Madison, Mississippi, mom of three and hometown Chief Meteorologist Barbie Bassett began looking for an opportunity that would allow her to give back to her community and help others. Barbie came across Rodan + Fields®, and though her husband, William, was opposed to her taking on a new venture without guaranteed benefit to their family, they agreed to try the opportunity for a year. If in 12 months Barbie didn’t make any money, she would quit, but if she earned an income, she’d maintain her business. By Convention 2011 in San Francisco, Barbie had promoted to Level V Executive Consultant, and William’s thoughts about the business had dramatically changed … so much so, he officially joined Barbie in business in early 2012. When asked about her husband’s change of heart, Barbie says, “William has never been so happy to have been so wrong!”

The Bassetts’ business continues to grow at a steady pace. In fact, they have sponsored at least two new Consultants almost every month in 2012, totaling 20 new Consultants between January and October. The secret to their success? Barbie says she asks everyone she encounters, whether they’re people she already knows or complete strangers, to be a business partner, a Customer, or someone who will offer referrals. “While filling my funnel,” she says, “I follow up and listen to the needs and wants of each individual. Listening is key to discerning where the prospect will fit into my organization, and how best I can serve my prospects.” Barbie and William now have a plethora of Level V ECs on their personal team, as well as other business partners who continue to promote each month. “Watching our team grow and paying it forward in ways near to their own hearts is our affirmation that the time is now with Rodan + Fields,” Barbie says.

Nicole’s desire to see others experience success drives her team building

Level V Executive Consultant Nicole Buckmaster from Bonita Springs, Florida, is no stranger to connecting with people, even when it’s a bit of a stretch. In June of 2011, after years of being a model and managing an online upscale boutique, Nicole decided she was ready for a change. While she still wanted to work for herself, she wanted a more long-term opportunity that would continue to provide steady income. “I found Rodan + Fields®, started running and never looked back!” she says. Today, Nicole is happy to have made the career change to Rodan + Fields because she is developing a team that she says “has become just like family.”

Perhaps building a team that feels like a family is the key to her success; Nicole enrolled an average of two new Consultants each month in 2012, totaling 21 new team members between January and October. She says the trick is continually to look for her next business partner. “I feel that total belief in myself and what I have to offer has enabled me to talk to people each week,” she says. This belief in herself and in Rodan + Fields, paired with her excitement in building a strong team, has certainly worked, and Nicole says she will continue to repeat these successful behaviors throughout the ever-growing life of her Rodan + Fields business.

Now that she’s learned the critical behaviors in growing an organization, Nicole says her next goal is to achieve a Starfire Pearl Lexus through the Road to RFX Program, and, one day, she sees herself promoting to RFX. “I want everyone in this organization to experience what I have experienced,” she says. And she continues to work to help her team do just that.

LORE CARDELLALevel V Executive Consultant from Wyckoff, New Jersey

Lore makes new connections daily

In March of 2011, Level V Executive Consultant Lore Cardella from Wyckoff, New Jersey, had just left a 10-year career in pharmaceutical and biotech sales to be at home with her two children. Though she had always aspired to become an entrepreneur, she was not willing to do what she felt many entrepreneurs must: Make the choice between her career and her family. Luckily, Lore’s best friend and former coworker, Jen DiVittorio, introduced Lore to Rodan + Fields®. Excited by the opportunity, Lore enrolled online immediately. Since then, she says, “Rodan + Fields has affected my life by allowing me to see that I truly am capable of having and doing it all. I feel like a better wife because I’m contributing to my household income, and a better mom because my children see that I work hard and have goals for myself. I’m also a happier person because I get to work with wonderful men and women who inspire me every day to share this opportunity.”

Share it she does, and the proof is in the pudding: Between January and October 2012, Lore enrolled 15 new Consultants. Lore says there is no big secret that has allowed her to consistently enroll new Consultants—instead, she is committed to diligence about reaching out to new people and making connections daily. Part of this diligence is expressed through weekly team meetings and monthly Business Presentations conducted in tandem with her Power Partner, Melissa McCarthy. As soon as they committed to this plan, Lore’s enrollments increased.

Lore’s biggest goal to date is to become the first Rodan + Fields Lexus driver in the state of New Jersey, and she’s happy to say she’s getting close. “I’m so excited for my future with Rodan + Fields,” she says. “I have made such amazing friendships and look forward to meeting and sharing the opportunity with future partners.”

AMY COURTNEY Level V Executive Consultant from Savage, Minnesota

Amy grows her team with a simple strategy to recruit and duplicate

In September of 2011, Level V Executive Consultant Amy Courtney from Savage, Minnesota, came across Rodan + Fields® and fell in love with the products. She decided she’d like to get some skincare products and perhaps make a little spare money, so she became a Consultant. Little did she know it would turn into so much more. After just one month in the business, Amy says something clicked, and she realized the true potential of Rodan + Fields. She loved the fact that she had found a part-time opportunity that would allow her to earn an income while still spending time with her eight- and two-year-old children. Amy’s love for her business is evident; within just eight months, she promoted to Level V Executive Consultant, and earned a Starfire Pearl Lexus just three months later.

Amy says she still can’t believe the success she achieved in less than one year with Rodan + Fields. “Once I started sponsoring new Consultants, I just kept doing it consistently each month,” Amy says. “My strategy is to recruit and duplicate.” It is this strategy, along with her enthusiasm and conviction, that has resulted in an organization of over 300 Consultants, 18 of whom she personally sponsored between January and October of 2012. Amy says that her greatest success to date is not any of her personal achievements, but rather watching her team grow. “I now have five Level V Executive Consultants in my organization and a few more who are close,” she says. “This team is on fire and their enthusiasm is contagious!” Amy says she also enjoys helping her team members reach their personal goals and seeing them become empowered to do the same for their downlines. Her goals for the future include helping her team members continue to achieve their goals, and personally achieving the RFX EC Title.

By helping others reach their goals, Jennifer has been able to achieve her own goals

Level V Executive Consultant Jennifer Sorce from Mission, Texas, is many things to many people. She is a mother of three, a busy wife and a certified dermatology nurse practitioner. In the summer of 2011, Jennifer began looking for a home-based business because she was beginning to find that the traditional employment model was interfering with the time she wanted to spend with her family. Jennifer found her solution in Rodan + Fields®. With her background as a dermatology nurse practitioner, she was attracted to the possibility of incorporating her passion and knowledge for dermatology into her own business. Her success with Rodan + Fields was almost immediate: She became profitable within her first full month, earned the iPad through the iStart program, and also achieved many Fast Start bonuses, activities which helped her promote to Level V Executive Consultant in 2012.

Jennifer attributes her success to making a commitment to consistently grow her business from day one, and she continues to do so by beginning each day with her very own “Rodan + Fields plan-of-the-day.” Each day she works different categories of her business: Closing her prospects, offering conference calls with her downline to help her team close their prospects, and adding new prospects to her prospect funnel. “I always have prospects at various levels of readiness to join the business,” she says. “I set goals, and become laser focused on connecting with them.” It is this determination that allowed Jennifer to enroll 23 new Consultants from January through October of 2012. “I attempt to recruit a minimum of two new Consultants per month. If I don’t have a maturing prospect in any given month, I know I have not been actively or adequately prospecting.”

Jennifer’s goals for the future include continuing to grow her Rodan + Fields business while helping many others create their dream lives. “By helping others reach their goals,” she says, “I have been able to achieve my own. The beauty of this business is that you can only do well by lifting up others. With determination and desire, I believe anyone can build this business!”

Stacey knows that successful recruiters don’t just talk to a lot of people, they talk to everyone

In the summer of 2010, Level V Executive Consultant Stacey Roney from Chicago, Illinois, was working 65+ hours a week at two different jobs—a staffing agency in the beauty industry and also at an online magazine. At the same time, she was raising her three toddlers. Feeling ready to get off the proverbial hamster wheel, Stacey began to look for a way to work smarter, not harder. In September, she came across Rodan + Fields® by chance, and joined within 48 hours—this was exactly what she had been looking for. “I couldn’t pass up the opportunity,” she says. “I knew if I worked hard, I could create the life for my family that I knew was possible.” Stacey committed to her goals, and started building her future.

Two years later, Stacey says that Rodan + Fields has given her complete fulfillment for the first time in her life. Now stress-free and surrounded by like-minded people, Stacey says the friends she’s made, along with the time and financial freedom her business has provided, have been life changing. And she wants to be sure to spread her success by continuing to build a team. “My strategy for consistently sponsoring is to practice a few simple disciplines every day,” she says. “Successful recruiters don’t talk to a lot of people, they talk to everyone!” And talking to everyone she meets has proven to be successful; Stacey has sponsored 21 new Consultants between January and October 2012. “Professionals don’t pitch,” she says, “They share their excitement and it’s contagious.”

Stacey’s excitement continues to bring her success. She promoted to Level V Executive Consultant in five months, and has become a top recruiter in the field. “I am so proud of my amazing team of professional, influential, successful people,” she says. Her goals for the future include continuing to grow her team and her team member’s goals, as well as eventually becoming an RFX Executive Consultant.
