Eligibility to EnterAll businesses operating in the Waverley LGA, whether large or small, located in a commercial centre or village, home based or online, are invited to nominate themselves for some well-deserved recognition.

All award entrants must: • be a registered business in the

Waverley Local Government Area

• agree to being profiled in the media and on Council’s website and other publications.

Award Process• All entries are judged by a panel

of business and marketing experts on the merit of the information provided against their industry peers

• Judging is based on the award criteria, any supporting documentation and the presentation of the entry

• Judges may eliminate incomplete entries

• After the first round of judging, finalists are selected and entered into a second round of judging by professional mystery shoppers who conduct either a face-to-face visit to the business or over the telephone

• A Brightest & Best Business Award winner is nominated from each of the 12 categories based on the outcome of the two rounds of judging

• Winners are announced at the Brightest & Best Awards Dinner held at the East Leagues Club on Monday 26 October 2016.

Bondi & District Chamber of Commerce People’s Choice AwardPrize: Hamper of goods and services to the value of $1000• All finalists selected for the second

round of judging will automatically be entered into the Bondi & District Chamber of Commerce People’s Choice Awards

• Finalists will be supplied with the necessary collateral to display or post to encourage their customers to vote on line for their business

• Votes will be weighted to ensure parity between the various business categories

• The Bondi Chamber of Commerce People’s Choice Award will be announced at the Brightest & Best Award Dinner.

Award CriteriaThe Brightest & Best Business Awards are given to businesses that demonstrate excellence, leadership, creativity and innovation in their business practice and presentation and provide exceptional and outstanding customer service.
