• Small realty group specialized in renting & selling properties in the Southwest Florida Region
• Started in 2007 as a partnership, with only 2 employees
• Focused only on renting and managing other people’s properties

Value Adding Activities
• The company grew activities based on core competency of managing properties:
• Assured client’s properties were in good conditions when a new tenant entered or left.
Current System
• Excel Spreadsheets to create & keep files of all properties & clients
• Property list contains: address, proprietor name, & current status of property
• Client list contains: name, address, phone #, client type, credit history and check status & comment section
Issues with current system
• Current Microsoft Excel® system no longer efficient
• Previously simple categories began to overlap & became too complex

Conclusion
• Alternative 1: Make a combination of the Compiere open source try out that offers ERP and CRM combined with SEP`s SEO for 6 months (budget of $5000 not used up, only $2850).
• Alternative 2: Oracle Standard Database 11g and SEP`s SEO, using up the budget on hand, $4950.
• We choose Alternative 1
• In case of later increase in traffic and more ‘seasonal clients’ from international markets will upgrade to a standard edition at Compiere (purchase a license) or go with Oracles Standard Edition Database 11g.
