At the ITT President’s Dinner, Steven Freudmann announced that the 2015 ITT Conference will take place in Ras Al Khaimah, from 1-3 June.

The northern most Emirate of the UAE, Ras Al Khaimah is a destination with year-round sunshine, sweeping white sandy beaches, beautiful mountains, red sandy desert and lush green plains, along with a series of creeks and lagoons.

If Abu Dhabi is the stern older brother and Dubai the glamorous sister, Ras Al Khaimah is the modestly beautiful, down-to-earth, and outdoorsy member of the United Arab Emirates family.

The Conference will take place at the magnificent Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah – an extraordinary resort inspired by the palaces of the Arabian Peninsula and located just 50 minutes drive from Dubai International Airport.

The resort is cradled by the crimson Hajar Mountains and vast expanses of desert, the vibrant grassy plains of the Al Hamra championship golf course and the turquoise waters of the Arabian Sea.

The Conference will be hosted by the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority.

There are not many hotels in the world that make your jaw drop at first sight. I can confirm, however, that the Waldorf Astoria in Ras Al Khaimah is jaw-droppingly stunning. Inspired by the palaces of the Arabian Peninsula, and opened just last year, the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah brings the legendary Waldorf service to one of the most amazing beachfront hotels in the world.

It is always exciting and rewarding to discover new destinations, so I predict that delegates to next year’s ITT Conference are in for a real treat. One of the smaller members of the Emirate family, Ras Al Khaimah is totally different to Abu Dhabi and Dubai. It is far less developed and has mile after mile of sweeping white beaches.

Great fun was had by all at the ITT President’s Dinner, sponsored by Affordable Car Hire, Avanti Travel Insurance, Bicester Village and World Travel Market.

Steven Freudmann, opened the dinner with a toast to ITT’s President, Trevor Harding, who was unable to host the event as he is bravely battling with prostate cancer – we wish him a speedy recovery.

The evening included the presentation of ITT’s prestigious Odyssey Award to John Hays, Managing Director of Hays Travel and guests were entertained by the naughty but fun all-round, 4 Poofs and a Piano.

ITT’s adopted charity, Just A Drop, raffled some fantastic prizes raising a total of £2,390 following a speech by the incredibly funny Alexander Armstrong, the star of Pointless who is a Patron of the charity. Alexander thanked ITT for the significant amount of money the Institute has raised for the charity over the past 11 years and talked about what this has achieved.
