The gospel is good news. It is a word to be proclaimed. Youcannot be committed to the gospel without being committed toproclaiming that gospel.

TodaysNew Testament Scripture Reading2 Timothy 1:8-14; 2:1-2
(New International Version)
So do not be ashamed to testify about
our Lord, or ashamed of me hisprisoner. But join with me in sufferingfor the gospel, by the power of God,who has saved us and called us to aholy lifenot because of anything wehave done but because of his ownpurpose and grace. This grace wasgiven us in Christ Jesus before thebeginning of time, but it has now been
revealed through the appearing of ourSavior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyeddeath and has brought life andimmortality to light through the gospel.
And of this gospel I was appointed aherald and an apostle and a teacher. That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet Iam not ashamed, because I know
whom I have believed, and amconvinced that he is able to guard whatI have entrusted to him for that day. What you heard from me, keep as thepattern of sound teaching, with faithand love in Christ Jesus. Guard thegood deposit that was entrusted toyouguard it with the help of the HolySpirit who lives in us. You then, my son,
be strong in the grace that is in ChristJesus. And the things you have heardme say in the presence of manywitnesses entrust to reliable men whowill also be qualified to teach others.
