HIGHLIGHTS

We have visited the Govt. Hospital Mysuru to see and understand the gaps in the facility.

We participated in the Devin Mother and Child Health Program

(Sri Satya Sai Project) at Chikballapur District in Karnataka.

Visited Bangaluru city to have meetings with Ekam’s projects’ partners.

There was a visit to Mudenahalli for discussions on the scope for project

collbration with Sathya Sai Baba Trust.

We visited the Biocon PHC at Singhasandra in Bangalore

We also went to Tiruchi Dist., along with Sathya Sai Baba Trust team to apprise them of EKAM activities.

• The Ekam team visited the Government Hospital in Mysuru to have a meeting with the administration regarding the requirement of some new equipment.

• They visited the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and other wards in the hospital.

• Team Ekam took Sri Sathya Sai Baba Trust’s team to the Puthanatham Public Health Center in Tiruchi district and met RBSK doctors. The doctors highlighted Ekam’s role in the referral program from Hospitals.

• Next visit was to the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital - Trichy. We introduced the Sathya Sai Baba team to hospital doctors. The team enquired about the government policies and problems and also about Ekam’s role in solving them.

• They had a very good interaction session on E-Network program.

HOSPITAL VISIT

• The Sathya Sai’s team visited the District Early Intervention Centre (DEIC)

• They met HOD pediatrics and nodal officer at the Hospital and then visited the Sick Neonatal Care Unit there. They were impressed with Ekam’s contribution.

• They also went to the Mudenahalli PHC and met doctors, staff and Asha workers.

• The Ekam team visited the Biocon Public Health Center at Singhasandra in Bangalore and interacted with Biocon team about the support to Govt. hospital in Karnataka.

• Visited Bangalore to have meetings with all Ekam’s projects partners on FY 2018-19 new projects and MOUs-

a) Sri Sharada Eye and Dental Hospital - We had a discussion with Mr. Ramesh about the vision 1K project status and cancer project status and also about starting new projects like screening programs for mothers, and child health care.

b) Rangadore Memorial Hospital- We had a meeting with Dr. Janaki and team about the Mou’s amendments and discussed about the extending our support to more needy patients from Vanivillas Hospital referrals.

FIELD VISIT

• Our field officers visited Mysuru for discussions with the JSS team regarding Ekam’s projects there namely Arogya Raksha; Community Governance Project; Save a Child; and also discussing about the training programs to be conducted in future.

• They also visited Bangaluru to have meetings with all Ekam’ Projects’ partners- - Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, - Sri Sharada Eye and Dental Hospital, - Rangadore memorial Hospital, - Vani Vilas Hospital. - They handed over the foot drop equipment to Rangadore Hospital management and

• The team Ekam took Sri Sathya Sai Baba Trust’s team to visit the ICDS centre and kitchen garden in the village near to Puthanatham.

• They visited the organic farming gardens and interacted with the farmers who apprised them about Ekam’s periodic trainings on the organic farming.

• Then they visited the homes of 3 beneficiary children in different villages and interacted with them. Satya Sai Baba team was very impressed with Ekam’s support program for the treatment of these kids.

• We had 2 days visits and meetings with Sri Satya Sai Trusts at Mudenahalli and Bangalore.
