St Augustine’s Primary School Bulletin Monday 4 th February

You should have read in last week’s newsletter that I am considering opening the school later when we have had snow. My dilemma last Monday was that the main roads were clear and public transport was running reasonably well. I waited until John got to the site, which he told me was treacherous, but he was able by 10am to clear pathways for access for children and staff. I would ask all of you to think of contingency plans that would enable you to get into school by 10am in a similar situation e.g. walking, using public transport, taking a different route. Obviously, every situation is different, and it might not be appropriate to start the delay of the school day. Hopefully, we have seen the end of the snow for this year, but please keep this in mind for the future.

One of our parents, Mrs Ekema, is opening a new school in the Cameroon and she would like to take some photographs of displays, classrooms etc to inspire her teachers. She will be coming around after school next Tuesday
