Solid foundations to a promising futureThe building and construction industry offers many exciting challenges and opportunities. North Metropolitan TAFE is WA’s leading institute for higher qualifications in this industry and our courses will provide you with job ready skills that employers are looking for.
The Certificate IV courses are focused on providing the skills and knowledge required in the building and construction industry to work in estimating and supervision in areas of low-rise and associated light steel structures. This is a sound induction for people
considering entering the building industry and who require a solid practical foundation of knowledge.
The Builders’ Registration Diploma covers the academic requirements for becoming a registered builder in WA. You will learn about building codes and standards, structural principles and gain the knowledge required to work as a builder on medium size projects. Potential students should seek information from the Building Commission to ascertain how much experience is required before undertaking this course.
