Gurgaon to showcase 'the best of sustainable and social practices Aadopted' by the corporates. DLF Foundation supported CSR Live
Week Business and the initiatives of DLF Foundation were showcased at

participated in all the activities.
As part of its ‘Skill a Million’ Programme, DLF
Foundation has launched a new DLF Skill Centre in
Gurgaon.
Our Village Cluster Development programme is also
providing quality based, affordable and accessible
Primary Health Care Services to the rural
community.

activities we undertake and would look forward to

Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India, shared
her 'Perspectives on Talent Nurturing.' .

Student Guidance Centre:
The school scholarships enable marginalized children from villages and slums to make the shift to access quality education in selected private English medium schools.
: The scholarships cover a large number of disciplines including medicine, engineering, IT, management, Fine Arts and Sports.
The Centre provides need based and individualised coaching, guidance and mentoring services for nurturing talents of all our scholars. DLF Employee Volunteering Program, (DLF SAHYOG) ensures an active engagement between the Scholars and DLF Employees who act as their mentors.
This year, DLF Foundation has granted scholarships to over 400 scholars.

The Workshop also covered over 200 parents of the
scholars. The sessions for parents included lessons on
Raising Respectful and Responsible Children, Behavioral
Management, Conscious Parenting, Citizenship and a Sujok
Healing Camp was undertaken in order to soothe and relax
their senses. The camp was facilitated by Ms. Bhupinder
Kaur to educate them on Alternative Medicine Therapy.

The 2 days were divided into 4 thematic sessions and
each having different activities under it for different
classes (divided into groups). After much deliberation,
DLF Foundation selected and incorporated various
engaging activities that were exercised during the entire
workshop.
Activities on Goal setting, Appreciative Inquiry for
Personal Growth, Self-Image, Peer Pressure Study
Strategies and Adolescent Health were conducted for the
Senior Secondary students.
‘DLF Sahyog’ Volunteer Meet Held
A DLF Sahyog Volunteer Meet was organized, wherein a facilitated interaction was conducted with Volunteers and their respective mentees during a round table meet, under the guidance of DLF Foundation team. An interactive session was conducted by Mr. PK Joseph and Ms. Meenakshi Singh. ‘DLF Sahyog’ is an Employee Volunteer Programme undertaken in collaboration with DLF HR Department to mobilise interested employees to contribute their knowledge, skills, time and linkages to foster the talent of less privileged scholars.

Education Day Celebrated with Zeal at SBM School
he 11th November is celebrated as National
Education Day to commemorate the birth Tanniversary of Shri Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, a
great visionary, freedom fighter, a staunch nationalist,
renowned scholar, secularist and an eminent
educationist. This year, SBM School celebrated
Education Day with great joy, where children recited
poems and spoke on the importance of education.
Besides, as a part of holistic development of children,
SBM School, in Collaboration with NIIT Foundation,
organised various competitions on Collage Making,
Folder Making, Best out of Waste Materials, Painting
Competition, etc.

LF 'Skill a Million Programme'
added yet another chapter, Dwith the opening of a new skill
centre at Khirki Dhaula in Gurgaon. The
centre will cater to the population of
around 12 villages in the area catering to
both villagers and the migrant
community.
Taking into perspective the needs of the
target community, this Training Centre
offers short-term courses in Beauty and
Hair care, Basic Computers, Retail
Management, Hospitality and Spoken
English. The training methodology
integrates 'best-in-class' training
practices and industry relevant curriculum through
the Occupational Standards study process. This
approach aims at creating incremental employability
on a 'year-on-year' basis based on an industry relevant
assessment and certification process.

Multi-pronged Approach of DLF PHC Project
Caring for the children...
LF Foundation in partnership with Institute
for Global Development has established a Dseries of Primary Health Centers in rural
Haryana and Punjab. These centers provide free
medical consultancy, specialist treatment, free
diagnostics and subsidized medicines to the rural
communities. Linkages have been established for
secondary and tertiary care.
Comprehensive “School Health Task” Programme:
In line with the DLF Foundation’s commitment to
‘Health for All’ programme for organizing community
outreach programmes were conducted with a focus on
information dissemination and preventive
healthcare pract ices. In this direct ion, a
comprehensive school health care programme
continued in the month of October 2013 in ten
villages of rural Gurgaon to raise awareness of
school students on Vector Borne Diseases, Hygiene &
Cleanliness. Interactive sessions with students
and teachers were conducted by health experts
and queries were addressed.
In addition to raise awareness on health issues among
school students, a comprehensive school health
checkup was also conducted by Medical Officers of
respective PHCs. More than 1500 school students
have undergone health screening under the initiative.
Mega Health Camps held in Mohali:
To address the specific demand from the
community for specialized services, a Multi-
specialty Mega Health Camp was organised
on 24th and 25th October 2013.
Apart from the general health check up,
Pediatricians, Gynaecologists, Dentists and
Eye Care specialists provided services to
more than 350 care seekers from the
community. Panchayat members of
neighbouring villages actively participated
for spreading the messages on preventive
and promotive aspects of health.

Two VIVO-DLF Foundation Mobile Clinics Provide Doorstep Services
wo VIVO-DLF Foundation mobile clinics operate everyday in different areas of Gurgaon to help
construction workers & their families and neighbouring communities get doctors and medical aid right at Ttheir doorstep. Focused on providing free, accessible and quality based primary healthcare services, these
mobile clinics have helped 2864 patients in last two months, operating in Corporate Green, Manesar; New Town
Heights, Manesar; Express Greens M1; Express Greens M2; and Sector- 91.

Gift of Vision at DLF-ADEH Eye Care Camp
LF Foundat ion-ADEH
(Arunodaya Deseret Eye DHospital) Eye Care Camp
was recently organised at Village
Wazirpur. Patients were detected
for advanced cataract in their eyes
and loss of vision. Surgery was
conducted for these patients free
of cost at ADEH and free spectacles
were provided. These patients are
now blessed with good vision and
able to perform their day-to-day
activities easily.
