BUILDING AN ENGAGED WORKFORCE
The Best Places to Work in the Federal Government® rankings offer the most comprehensive assessment of how federal employees view their jobs and workplaces. The rankings and accompanying data amplify employee voices and reveal the most pressing organizational issues undermining agency effectiveness.
But the rankings don’t just identify problems—they
serve as the foundation for solutions. Federal leaders
use the rankings as a roadmap to better manage our
government’s most important asset: its people.
Best-in-class organizations understand that an
engaged workforce leads to enhanced performance.
Over the past three years, the Best Places to
Work data show a 4.6-point increase in employee
engagement across government. This steady increase
follows a concerted effort by federal agencies to invest
in initiatives that improve working conditions and
strengthen their workforce.
Maintaining this momentum will require a strong
commitment from federal leaders to improve the
employee experience. Our suite of services has helped
agencies cultivate a workforce that is more engaged
and productive—and we can do the same for yours.

UNLOCK YOUR AGENCY’S DATA
ENHANCED DATA ANALYSIS
The annual Best Places to Work rankings provide a wealth of data on how federal employees perceive their workplaces, including effective leadership, pay, teamwork and work-life balance. For this data to be most useful, you need to turn the insights into action. Our experienced data analysts can evaluate your survey data using Partnership-developed tools and techniques to pinpoint the key issues affecting employee engagement.
BRING EMPLOYEES INTO THE CONVERSATION
FOCUS GROUPS, PULSE SURVEYS
Analyzing your Best Places to Work data helps you understand what workforce issues you’re having—but to better understand why those issues persist, you must gather ongoing feedback. The Partnership administers pulse surveys and facilitates employee focus groups to provide organizations with deeper insight into employee pain points. As a neutral third party, we can help your workforce and leadership collaborate to uncover ideas to improve employee engagement.
INVEST IN YOUR LEADERS
Leadership is the primary driver of employee satisfaction and commit-ment. By investing in short- and long-term development opportunities for your mid- and senior-level leaders, you will empower those with the greatest influence in your organization to transform and enhance the experience of each individual employee.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
Participants in our leadership development programs come away with the skills needed to inspire confidence in their teams and motivate employees to perform at their best. We offer a variety of open-enrollment and custom programs, including the Excellence in Government Fellows program, to develop innovative federal leaders who can drive organizational change, achieve results and deliver on their agencies’ missions.
