Nichos are small, decorative boxes that commemorate the lives of our ancestors. We make them for Día de los Muertos to

show our ancestors we still remember and honor them. Día de los Muertos is a Mexican tradition with roots in Indigenous

culture. Unlike Halloween, Día de los Muertos isn’t a time where ghouls and goblins walk among us but a time where people

pay respects to their ancestors and their ancestors can, in turn, visit them. People celebrate the life and the legacy of their

ancestors, but remember that everything must pass in its time. You can dedicate your nicho to whomever you like—a family

member, a pet, a famous person, anyone who is important to you.

Dedico este niche para _______________________________________

________________________. Fueron importantes en vida porque

_______________________________________________________________.

Algo que querían mucho era _________________________________

______________________________. Algo que hacíamos juntos era

_______________________________________________________________.

sientes inspirado. ¡No hay manera incorrecta o correcta para

recordar y amar a nuestros antepasados!
