1. Find a high school with a CEFGA/NCCER-certified construction or pre-engineering/architecture program (there are 70+ in Georgia … see cefga.org)

2. Participate in job shadowing and intern opportunities in high school

3. Use high school to determine what you like best (e.g. working with your hands, designing buildings, working with money/math?)

4. This decision will determine your steps after high school (e.g. apprenticeship, four-year university, etc.)
