The CR10, and CR10S XZ kits are very similar, but with the following differences:

CR10 CR10S

TR8 Lead screw 500mm n/a

Z GT2 Pulley 20t, 2x n/a

Z GT2 Closed Belt 760mm n/a

Z bearing top bracket 2x n/a

Note:

-The CR10 kit can be used to convert a dual Z motor CR10S to single tied together Z to stop power off leveling

issues.

0. Prep:

-If you have a CR10S Pro / Pro V2, print out the hotend and filament sensor brackets first (STLs on the product

page under documents).

Parts Removal:

-Remove the top 2020 frame bar, set aside for later.

-Unplug the wire harness for the hotend, extruder (and filament sensor).

-Loosen the Z motor couplings, and slide the entire carriage assembly up and off the top.

-Remove the Z motor mounts, set aside the Z motors and mounts for later.

-Remove the X motor, X end-stop, idler bracket, extruder motor, and extruder; save all for later.

-Remove the hotend and fan shroud, and save for later.

1. X Motor Bracket Assembly:

Parts Needed: Motor bracket, 1x M3x6 bolt, 3x M5x8 bolt, 2x M5 T nut, 2x Re-use: Motor, pulley

CR10S CR10S Pro / Pro V2

Note:

-The X motor mounts differently for the CR10S vs. the CR10S Pro / Pro V2. This is due to the cable not reaching

for the Pro models. When plugged in, the Pro models will need the cable connector flipped over at the motor

(to reverse the motor direction).

2. X Carriage Assembly:

Parts Needed: ExoSlide 20P, 4x Hotend Bracket, 1x Belt X Bracket, 1x 2020x510mm extrusion, 1x M4x14 bolt, 4x M4x40 bolt, 8x Re-use: M3x4 bolts for fan shroud M3x15 bolts for hotend

Notes:

-Orient the front ExoSlide with the logo on the left side if using the stock Creality hotend.

-Orient the front ExoSlide with the logo on the right side if using the MicroSwiss DD extruder (Ender 5 version)

3. Right Side ExoSlide Assembly:

Parts Needed: ExoSlide 20S, 1x ExoBracket 20, 1x Printed support bracket R, 1x M4x18 bolt, 1x M4x25 bolt, 2x

Note:

-Install the M4x18 bolt in first as is covered by the bracket.

4. Left Side ExoSlide Assembly:

Parts Needed: ExoSlide 20S, 1x ExoSlide 40S, 1x ExoBracket 20, 1x Printed support bracket L, 1x M4x14 bolt, 2x M4x18 bolt, 2x M4x30 bolt, 2x M4x50 bolt, 2x

Notes:

-Orient the slides as shown, with the 20mm ExoSlide having the ExoSlide logo facing up.

5. Gantry Assembly:

Parts Needed: X Motor Bracket Assembly, 1x X Carriage Assembly, 1x Right Side ExoSlide Assembly, 1x Left Side ExoSlide Assembly, 1x

Notes:

-The left side ExoBracket should be placed 32mm from the end of the extrusion (this does not need to be exact,

30mm is ok, and you can use a 30mm bolt to gauge).

-The left motor mount should butt-up again the left side bracket. One M3 bolt head is covered by the 2020 X

rail.

-The right side ExoBracket should be flush with the extrusion for now. It will get positioned in a following step.

6. Gantry Install:

Parts Needed: Gantry assembly, 1x

Note:

-Slide the right side ExoSlide assembly until the ExoSlide inner face is 1mm from the 2040 extrusion face (the

same spacing as the left side).

7. Z Nut Supports:

Parts Needed: Z support brackets, 2x M5x8 bolt, 4x M5 T nut, 4x Re-use: TR8 lead screw nuts M3x6 bolt, 4x

Parts Needed: Z nut supports, 2x Printed Z motor spacer, 2x M4x25 bolt, 4x Re-use: Lead screws, Z motor mounts

Notes:

-Install the Z motor mount spacers.

-Install the left and right Z support assemblies.

-Re-install the Z motor couplings.

-Re-Install the lead screws

9. Top Z Bearings:

Parts Needed: Printed Z bearing spacer, 2x M4x25 bolts, 2x Re-use: Z bearing retainer, 2x

10. Idler Bracket Assembly:

Parts Needed: Idler bracket, 1x M5x8 bolt, 2x M5 T nut, 2x M8 jam nut, 1x M8 washer, 1x Re-use: M8 bolt, large nut, bearings

11. End-Stop Assembly:

Parts Needed: Printed end-stop bracket, 1x M5x8 bolt, 2x M5 T nut, 2x Re-use: End-stop, M3x6 bolts

Used with ExoSlide Y kit Used with stock Y V wheels

Note:

-Use the shorter end-stop printed part when only installing the ExoSlide XZ kit (and not the ExoSlide Y kit as well)

12. Extruder Bracket Assembly:

Parts Needed: Printed extruder bracket, 1x M4x14 bolt, 2x Re-use: Motor, extruder

13. Idler, X Belt, End-stop, Extruder Mounting:

Parts Needed: Idler Bracket Assembly, 1x Belt X, 1x End-stop assembly, 1x Extruder assembly, 1x

Note:

-Install idler on right side, Install belt and tension.
